Yeah, and I think that's exactly why a lot of us have a problem.
I am at 1st base, and a fly ball at the gap is sent to the left center. The camera turns around and I keep going to 2nd. I'm about 1ft away from 2nd, the LF makes a great shoestring catch, does a double gainer and throws me out as I am halfway between 1st and 2nd deciding which way the camera is facing so I can choose a direction to push. My guy literally turns to 1st, then 2nd, then 1st as I couldn't make up my mind.
On a flyout to CF with the camera facing me tagging up 2nd with the CF in almost a straight line behind me, I've tried left it would not advance. I have to press up very deliberately. That one gave me a good headscratch and almost didn't make it to 3rd. According to the camera "rules", I should be pushing left as 3rd base is to the left of me. This has happened to me twice before I figured out to push up instead.
I hope more games will help, but I am almost at the 100 game mark in RTTS and it has been a nightmare trying to run bases. I am almost at the point of choosing automatic baserunning since I am making the dumbest running mistakes known to pro baseball.
