@ work right now, but off the top of my head, hot zone off, API to default (or was it off?) and pitching cursor off.

Also you can switch pitching to classic to remove the meter.

Yeah, I'm at work at the moment too. I'll fool with it when I get home. Thanks Kilmar

The only thing you need to do is turn API off. Otherwise, play any skill level above veteren and it defaults to off as well.

Anyone know if you can shake off a catcher? I know that you can throw any pitch that the pitcher can throw, but can you actually have the catcher call for another pitch?

You shake them off by choosing on your own. The only way to make the catcher put up a different sign is if there is a man on base and you step off or attempt a pickoff.

It's a nice subtle change from last year, the catcher actually showing what pitch he's calling.

I love it!! Much more realistic. I'm still getting used to the various pitchers/ different pitch types though.

Pats inside thigh - pitch inside
Pats outside of thigh - pitch outside
                No pats - middle

This part I'm not sure of, but test:
                1 glove slap - high
                2 glove slap - mid
                3 glove slap - low
0 glove slap - no idea
Never seen more than 3 glove slaps

                thats great.

That's interesting... a closed fist was always our sign for pitch out in high school as well.

                    Re: Catcher's signals

Closed fist for pitchout is fairly universal on all levels (little league to pro), at least in North America.
