Thats weird, is this a problem with the schedule then? If so, is it tied into them fixing the time certain games start at? Man this patch is giving me a headache at this point.

Yeah, I think its tied into the schedule. Its NOT the rosters, as people are able to start NEW franchises with OLD rosters, and have no crashing issues. I think the problem lies in the FIRST day on the schedule after the patch being corrupt somehow, and unable to be played, but able to be simmed past

So basically if I get my franchise going and it keeps booting me back to the XMB I should sim to date for my most current game and then everything should work from there on out?

it has for me, so far....

whats funny, is I was able to play the first game on the schedule, post patch. HOWEVER, every game on the schedule, other than my Tigers at White Sox game was already simmed for that day. After playing that game, i saved the game, and then when I clicked to play the next game, it crashed back to the PS3 menu. It did this 3 or so times. So, I clicked on that date, and "simmed to date", saved it, and I was able to play the next game, with no issues

Out of curiosity, did you check to see if any teams were scheduled to play multiple games on that day? I seem to remember someone mentioning here on OS that they saw an instance where a team was playing 2 games, against 2 different teams, on the same day.

I got the same problem earlier when I was downloading the patch. It kept freezing when the game loaded up and when I started my franchise, I was saving my settings and it froze and took me to the main menu of the PS3???

I'm glad I checked OS before playing today. I'm happy with my franchise progress as is and will not be dowloading this patch. It sucks for the guys that had to start over or are having problems.

Actually, it does fix the schedule problem, especially with the Dodgers schedule. Before the patch, the Dodgers started off with a 3 game series against the Padres, which in fact was 4 games and the times of the games changed, so it's not that bad, but it's a pain when it does freeze.

^yeah bro. Thats one of the first things I noticed about the dodgers schedule when I started my franchise and also the start times. I can live with that though. It just seems like there is a pretty big negative response with this patch. I'll roll without it.

I am new to the site but heard about it through another website, so I thought I'd check to see if anyone else was going through what I was. Now I see I'm not alone!! Anyways, whenever I try and load my franchise now, it exits out to the PS3 home screen right away. I don't even get to the schedule or anything. Funny thing is my brother has a franchise saved under his profile on the same PS3 and his works fine. Talk about frustrating. I was at the all-star break too. Not too excited about starting over...

So your saying starting a franchise with knights stock today will not cause any feezing or crashes? If so then I'm ok I guess. Still obnoxious we have to deal with this!

Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.

Shorty and koebsual (and for anyone else that wasn't on here last night):

If you start a new franchise, you will not have the freezing problem. It only seems to be happening in existing franchices and RTTS's.

As long as you're starting fresh, you are good to go. It doesn't matter what rosters you use either.
