Yes they are, they are 14.5 games out after roughly half of the season.

But im not talking so much real life but in my "game world", the Brewers are trying to shift payroll hence Braun and Fielder are on the block, so with them not challenging i dont think my trade would be that unfair? Theres no point giving them back somebody with a big salary a la Ordonez as the whole point is to dump salary for them.

Can I post one of the worst trades I've made?

In my St. Louis Franchise, a received an offer from the Twins in mid May for Todd Wellemeyer which would send him and 8 or so million dollar contract to Minnesota in exchange for young SP Scott Baker.

I had been getting some offers for him quite a bit because he was like 4-0 with a 1.50 ERA out of the bullpen but none intrigued me as much as this one. I did the trade so I could free some money up.

At the end of the season I was looking at the awards and when I looked at the AL Cy Young Award winner I was shocked to see TODD WELLEMEYER! He finished 18-3 with a 2.40 ERA or something. And to top it off the Twins had traded him to the Rays where he won it.

I was completely bewildered at how he won.

You're telling me! I kept in my rotation, and at the All-Star Break I'm 16-1 with him! I don't know what it is with him but he has been lights out, even in '08. As far as real life is concerned, we won't talk about that, lol.

Can I just say I love the trading block...I started up a new franchise with the Rays, played a few games and went to the trade deadline. I restricted myself to only going after guys on the block and I ended up getting Jason Heyward. Now the future of my outfield is secured so long as I sign Crawford but if I don't no biggie I still have Desmond Jennings who will be making his debut in the 2011 season.

I've noticed that he's been a beast in my franchise as well. Haven't faced him personally, but he's leading the race for the NL Cy Young Award just before the all-star break

After scouring for a while and being desperate for another left handed bat with some pop (the Tigers are too right heavy) ive sent Josh Anderson and a C prospect reliever to New York for the Mets Ryan Church in return, he doesnt have Andersons speed which the Mets need but he does have way more ding in his bat.

Pretty fair trade all round i think.

I finished my first year with the Rays and I just had the most solid offseason I signed Beckett away from the the Sox and Holliday away from the Cards but didn't resign Crawford. Now I have 7 pitchers that are of Major League quality, and I am debating whether or not to send a package of Kazmir and Bartlett or Sonnastine and Bartlett to somewhere like Colorado or Arizona. I see Tulowitzki as the better player now and in the future compared to Drew so I'll see what I can swing.

What I thought turned out to be a bust of a trade actually turned out great. In my Cubs franchise, Right before the trade deadline I traded Ryan Freel and a B pot pitcher for Randy Johnson for my 5th starter, I couldn't get past the fifth inning without him getting hammered, so I thought about releasing him but instead I now use him to get out the one tough lefty in the lineup in the late innings and he is untouchable so far!

I hope one of those minor leaguers was Phil Hughes & Austin Jackson. If not congrats on ripping off the CPU.

                        re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**

In year one of my Giants franchise, I dealt for Adrian Gonzalez at the deadline. I gave up Angel Villalona (powerful, young 1B prospect), Gillespie, and Madison Bumgarner. I also attained Cla Meredith in the trade to help my pen. IMO, it was a fair trade, as they are in serious rebuilding mode, and they recieved a potential left handed ace, a powerful 1B to replace Adrian, and a 3B with some upside. I got the one thing I needed, which was some pop in the lineup, and Adrian hasn't dissapointed. I simmed two years to finish my 'rebuilding' of the Giants and plan on playing the third year. In the first two seasons, Adrian walloped a combined 91 HR, and drove in over 200 combined runs.

Luckily, trading Bumgarner isn't hurting too bad, as after letting Renteria and Winn go, I had enough money left over, and picked up Beckett in free agency. I now have a solid 1-2-3 punch with Lincecum, Beckett, and Cain.

                        Right now, my lineup is:

LF Bobby Abreu (actually has florished as a leadoff man)
                        2B Freddy Sanchez
                        3B Pablo Sandoval
                        1B Adrian Gonzalez
                        RF Jose Guillen
                        C Buster Posey (STUD)
                        CF Aaron Rowand
                        SS Chone Figgins
                        P spot

                        Rotation

                        Lincecum
                        Beckett
                        Cain
                        J. Sanchez
Anibal Sanchez (acquired via trade, been a big suprise)

                        Pen

                        J. Cruz
                        J. Miller
                        Joel Hanrahan
                        D. Sanchez
                        BJ Ryan
Francisco Cordero (acquired for Brian Wilson and a SS prospect)

Liking my chances this year, as the Dodgers have fallen off. However, the D'Backs have added Pujols (!!), and are looking to be my biggest competition throughout the year.

ok, im not sure ift this would afect anything, but i once did a chise with the trade deadline rosters from this site. Before, if I used any other set of rosters, some of my trades would not of happend.

Ok, so my point is I am the Red Sox, at a 41-28 clip, 3 games back of the Rays(Yanks are in last.....don't ask I don't know why). It seems like with the new trade dealie rosters, I can't trade certain people for Roy Hallady because the trade isnt good enough. So, who should I be able to give up for Doc from the sox?

Package Wagner for Shields or Kazmir. What are you looking for exactly?
