re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
Royals (fantasy draft) send:
Logan Morrison
Trevor Cahill
Jake Arrieta
to Nationals for:
Joe Mauer
so now I have a lineup of
1. Carl Crawford
2. Adam Jones
3. Joe Mauer (Longoria hits 3rd sometimes to change things up)
4. Hanley Ramirez
5. Evan Longoria
6. Jay Bruce
7. Ryan Zimmerman (plays 1b for me)
8. Justin Upton (probably league MVP at this point)
9. Orlando Hudson (acquired via trade for 2 mid level prospects, which i regret, espcially with Ian Stewart on the bench)
i am almost to the all star break (play one game out of every series, the rest of the time i use sportcast manager)
most of my players are having all star seasons, and we are 20 games over 500.
our achillies heel is the back end of our pitching staff (Kershaw has been so awful that I replaced him with Jordan Zimmerman and Cueto and Edwin Jackson have been mediocre at best)
Ryan Madson is my closer and has been brilliant. Soriano, Okajima and Morrow are the key parts of my bullpen.
also, Snider and Rasmus are chilling in triple a, but i dont have room for them.
it's a ton of fun. it might seem lame to have so many stars on one team, but the computer teams had opportunities in the draft too, so I don't feel guilty. it's not my fault they chose Jonathan Broxton in the 1st round.Last edited by FindingTim; 05-29-2009, 01:02 PM.Comment

That is probably the most loaded lineup I have ever seen. Your #8 hitter is my cleanup hitter

re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
I pulled the trigger on this "3-way" trade in my Mets Franchise. I was hitting very well with Danny Murphy, but not with Delgado, so I decided to go a little nuts, moving Murphy to 1st Base and doing this trade up:
METS GET
LF Carl Crawford
SP Clay Buchholz
SS Nick Green
RED SOX GET
1B Carlos Delgado
SP Livan Hernandez
OF Fernando Martinez
2B Marlon Anderson
RAYS GET
DH David Ortiz
RP Pedro Feliciano
SP Jon Niese
I gave up a lot of young talent, but think I got pretty fair guys back. On paper, it looks like I got ripped off, but I pulled a deal for Peavy earlier in the season, so my rotation looks like this now:
Santana
Peavy
Pelfrey
Maine
Buchholz
And as far as my lineup goes, I have been alternating Church and Sheff in right, and then I use my created self at 2nd base. I lost some power with Delgado gone, but like I said, I was not hitting well with him at all.Comment

I don't think you got ripped off at all. I think you actually made out. And, it looks like a pretty fair trade.I pulled the trigger on this "3-way" trade in my Mets Franchise. I like seeing realistic trades.Comment

How did make a 7 player trade? I thought you could only do 6 players, 3 for each team?Comment

Cubs (me) sent Ryan Freel , Aaron Heilman, and Chad Fox to San Diego for P Cesar Ramos and 3B Kevin Kouzmanoff This was the first trade I've done, but I signed Mark Mulder for cheap and he has been a big pick up in the bullpenLast edited by Happy29; 05-31-2009, 01:44 PM.“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
