Re: Possible to Setup Playoffs?
I'm playing it now, and yes, all seedings are correct.
What I like most about this is that you can save in the middle of a game and come back to it later. Playing exhibitions, I had to make sure I had enough time to bang out full games because you can't save exhibition games. This is great!NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: Possible to Setup Playoffs?
I want to use Knights end of season set and actually start at the end of the season/free agency...
How would people recommend trying to sim this? I'd like to try and get the draft order as close as possible...
Can I sim a short-season and then switch back to a 162 season?
Can I turn off trades/signings and then turn them back on?
Should I control all 32 teams? Can I uncontrol after I'm done simming?Comment

The only real way is to sim and check the standing.
You can't even turn off injuries and turn them back on.

Re: Possible to Setup Playoffs?
Art...can you see the file on the USB flash drive when you have it in the PS3?
It will get copied to the SAVED DATA UTILITY section.
Highlight and hit X and Triangle.

Re: Possible to Setup Playoffs?
I see it on the flash drive on the ps3, but when I go to saved data it only gives me the option to see information, not display all.NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.Comment

Re: Possible to Setup Playoffs?
Make a new folder and name it GAME with all capitals inside the save data folder. Drag the folder with longer name, bc..blah blah, inside the GAME folder and it should work. I don't usually use a flash drive on my PS3 but I remember this issue when I used to play NCAA Football and I downloaded rosters online.Comment

Re: Possible to Setup Playoffs?
Hey guys I took ecm18's season one step further and simulated until I got the ALCS/NLCS matchups correct. So both Championship Series are set up by downloading the attached zip. Complete noob oriented instructions on how to install and play are shown below.
Also, pitch fatigue is fine so you can use whatever rotations you want. The sim results of the divisional series matched real life with PHI/COL playing 4 games and the rest were sweeps. (I did have to edit the real life divisional losing teams so I could get those sweeps by making their star players crappy.) LA, PHI, NYY & LAA were not edited.
Rosters used are whatever ecm18 used when he set up the divisionals (I think he stated they were SCEA rosters updated through OCT 5.)
1. Unzip file then copy/paste the 'PS3' folder to a USB flash drive. Note: The complete file should appear as follows, if not then maually edit it:
PS3\SAVEDATA\BCUS98180_SEAS_000000009DC2319A
2. Insert USB drive into PS3.
3. If you're already playing 'The Show' press the PS3 button on controller. You will have to quit game to continue.
4. From the 'Game' menu Scroll up until you see 'Saved data utility.'
5. Scroll up until you see 'USB Device.'
6. In USB device scroll until you see the season file. You'll see info which reads "MLB SEASON 10/14/2009 1:14 PM Phillies October 13, 2009."
7. Now click the green arrow button on the controller then copy it to your saved data file.
8. Start game and load the season. Go to schedule screen, by default you are the Phillies. If you want to change teams click R2 until you see the team you want to play.
Now watch the Angels STICK IT to the 3 teams they hate the most: Boston (RIP), Yankees and Dodgers!Attached FilesLast edited by swaldo; 10-14-2009, 05:21 PM.Comment

Re: Possible to Setup Playoffs?
I didn't have to do this, all you need to do is go to saved data utility, select USB Device, select season file, click green arrow on controller then copy. Start game then open season.Make a new folder and name it GAME with all capitals inside the save data folder. Drag the folder with longer name, bc..blah blah, inside the GAME folder and it should work. Re: Possible to Setup Playoffs?
True, true. But it's similar. When I was playing Tournament Mode on 2K8, the announcers announced every game. For example: I'm playing Game 1 of a series & the beginning of like the 5th or 6th inning, the announcer says "This is Game 1 of the American(National) League Division(Championship/World) Series."2k6 and 2k8 have tournament mode, not playoff mode. 2k9 has playoff mode.
In tournament mode you can't have a 5-7-7 series format like in 2k9's playoff mode. You can only pick one series length for each round in tournament mode, with the options being...
1 game series for each round
3 game series for each round
5 game series for each round
7 game series for each round
You can choose to only have 2 two teams in the tournament if you want or as many as 16 teams.Originally posted by Barney StinsonNever in the history of New York City nightclubs has there been a shortage of dudes. Not even during the Great Dude Shortage of 1883.Comment

Re: Possible to Setup Playoffs?
Question for Swaldo, did you save this season file from a non-patched PS3? I can't get your file to show up on my PS3; the last time this happened to me was when I was saving a roster file from a patched machine when my machine wasn't patched. Maybe the opposite is happening here. My machine is now patched, btw. Thanks.Last edited by Hammerhunker; 10-15-2009, 05:46 PM.Comment

That shouldn't matter.
The patch adds files to any save file on the machine.
At least it does it with roster saves....I'm pretty sure it's the same with season/franchise saves.

Re: Possible to Setup Playoffs?
Yeah, I supposed that was the case, I was grasping at straws. Maybe it was the zipdrive I was using. I have another one at school I will get. At the moment, I can't even load your classic files.
