Or you could turn it off.

I could do that for this years version, no doubt. BUT, for NEXT YEARS version if it gets fixed, no need to turn anything off. Alls well!

Fielding. Would like to see something like a MVP 05 or 2k9/2k10 meter. The current one is too bland/not fun to use.

What about a confidence attribute for pitchers? That way, each pitcher would react differently when after giving up a base hit. Take Mariano Rivera for example, a hit and a walk with 2 outs would not rattle him like Papelbon would. Ooops, is it too soon Sox fans?

Cute, but you've got it wrong. Papelbon doesn't get rattled from baserunners...in fact, if you watch him at all he seems to "prefer" it that way...lol...much to the frustration of Red Sox fans.

I'm all for having confidence vary for the pitchers, but it might be too subjective to get it right. Generally speaking, your lower tier pitchers get rattled faster than your staff aces. It's a chicken or the egg thing. Does the Ace fair better because he's the Ace, or is he the Ace because he fairs better? Thus ends quasi-philosphy for the evening.

It's a good idea though, just not sure how to implement it accurately. I do think that confidence is something that needs addressed, however they decide to go about it.

            Fielding

            3-part answer:

            A) OFs are too fast to the point that a ball down the line is still a long single even with a speedy runner.

            B) Regardless if I barely tap the button or hold the button the MPH behind the throw doesn't seem affected

            C) Not enough fielding errors - throwing errors are decent but there needs to be more errors like throws in the dirt, 1B unable to pick the ball out, etc.

Almost every aspect of Fielding. Especially outfielders running full speed in place against the outfield wall while they rob a hit. I play outfield and I am very careful when tracking down fly balls against the wall, however the outfielders in the game run straight into the wall, catch the ball and continue running in place for 3 seconds or so like they are trying to break through the wall or something. That is why the game desperately needs collision detection.

Also, no more animations! It would be great to have real-time fielding!!! Save the cool animations for the replays.

                This.

I'm tired of my infielders throwing the ball into the stands.

Last time I checked, Chuck Knoblauch wasn't on my roster.

Fielding- it's too bland and simple. Fielding should be dynamic and exciting. A meter would help for throwing as many here have said. Perhaps some sort of timing exercise with other controls could dictate the success or failure of how fast a fielder can get to the ball or angle he takes. Not sure, it has to be a balance of things or it could turn into something gimmicky. But they certainly play it too safe with this part of the game.

If you want to get on base, you better get a hit. Yes, I do get some walks, but no way you are walking 100+ times with an Adam Dunn in the Show. it's too hard to run up a realistic pitch count on either the User or CPU pitchers. Well, you can get the CPU pitchers to a 3 ball count and then they seem to pound the strike zone. Get a 3 ball count and look dead red and you'll probably be successful. Actually, after 2 balls, this seems to be the case. While a can get the CPU over 100 pitches, on occasion, you aren't going to see someone go to 120 or 140 pitches, ever.

I'll walk a few guys with my pitchers, but my pitcher's walk totals are nowhere near correct. My starting 5 is always top 5 in fewest walks allowed.

This badly needs to be fixed.

As far as my pitchers giving up walks I've never had a realistic number. however my batting walk totals were good up until 08. MLB 06, and, 07 I got walked alot more.

I even led the league in 06 with my big hitter he walked some 95 times or so. And in 07 I was in the top 5 with two players.

Last few years though they seem harder to come by.

For one, they took out the pitch count slider. The strike zone is too big. If they would make it smaller, it would likely correct the problem.

I got fed up with the check swing stuff and eventually did this. I've never looked back.

My sentiments as well. Pitching (throwing strikes) has always been way too easy in the Show, even with slider adjustments.

Maybe this is something I can fix in sliders, or maybe I just stink, but I wish I could hit more homeruns! I check my contact and timing after the pitch or hit, and I'll see it says I had perfect timing, and right in the zone - but the hit just makes the waning track...
