I may not be understanding you correctly, but it should be exactly the same as last year:

If you preloaded your throw input, you generally (some rare catches can take a little longer) should be able to branch into a throw almost immediately after the ball gets into your glove in the catch.

There's not much room for improvement.

If you're hoping to see more errors, definitely go with the "Legend" fielding difficulty too.
In this scenario how would the CPU determine how much velocity to put into the throw? If I'm not mistaken, accuracy and velocity are tied to both user input and player ratings with 'no feedback' on meter.

If you are asking how throw strength is calculated with "No Feedback" selected, it is exactly the same as having "ON" selected.

        Simple explanation:

Given the physics of a throw distance and type (i.e. set throw, running throw, etc.), a minimum and maximum speed are determined. The player's attributes modify the maximum and the user input will scale between the min and max. So, if there were a new option that did not use user input for strength (just accuracy), it would attempt to throw at the max adjusted by the player attributes.

Kind of hard to describe but I will do my best. My RTTS player is playing 1st, there is a man on first with less than 2 outs. I am obviously holding the runner on, the ball is hit to me I throw to second immediately and try to get back to the bag to cover for the completion of the double play. But no matter what buttons I push I can't get back to the bag in time, resulting in the batter being safe at first.

Wouldn't that be more on your RTTS players reaction/speed ratings? I've never played 1st in RTTS so I really don't know what's happening. Can you post a vid?

This same thing happens in season mode as well.

Is it just me or have there been more animations added when the hitter releases the bat. Seems to be more variety than years past even in just these two lineups. There's like a quick release that I have seen that I cant remember in past versions.

I thought that might be the case. That's an interesting idea to have the CPU determine the throw strength as opposed to user input. I enjoy having the ability to manipulate the speed of throw, but I certain appreciate having more options. Thanks for the clarification.

Anyone else here using an upgraded hard drive on their PS3? I upgraded to a 500GB, but I've noticed an issue in MLB 10 & 11 the show. Right before throwing a pitch or swinging the bat, every few at bats, my game will have a 1-2 second delay. I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue.

I made a thread on this but I guess I was supposed to put it in here so I'll copy and paste it and see if someone can answer it here:

Does anyone notice how it takes a catcher practically forever to go to the ball after a pitch is in the dirt or of it's a wild pitch. If it's a wild pitch, he practically walks over to the ball instead of running. And if it's a ball in the dirt, he SLOWLY gets up.

Anytime a runner is on base, they take the next base EASILY.

I upgraded to a 320GB about 6 months ago and I'm seeing no hitches with the demo.
