Can't remember if this was in '10 but if the runner is stealing and the batter fouls the pitch off, the catcher still goes through the animation of jumping out of his crouch like he was going to throw the runner out.....just like in real life

I love how the announcers talk about how the batters did in the previous nights game...even if you had simmed it.

The catcher pulls his face protector off when scrambling for a pitch in the dirt.

I was just playing with the Yankees vs the Oakland A'S in Yankee Stadium I heard the fans do the road call and then Nick Swisher turn's around and salutes to the crowd that was amazing. Another thing I notice was that Kevin Kouzmanoff hit a rocket to third base foul and then Matt says "hit right into the third base coach Mike Gallego who was a great fielder in his day".

This thread is amazing. I wouldn't even notice most of these things if I hadn't read them in here. I absolutely love the amount of detail these devs put into their game. It truly brings the game to another level that other sports games just cannot reach

The fans at Giants stadium acknowledge Uribe coming back with a commentary element as well.

I haven't read through this all (I like to discover on my own at first) so if this has already been mentioned, my apologies.

In my most recent 3-2 loss to the Yankees, Mo shut me down in the 9th 1, 2, 3 all by strikeout (yes I was THAT bad).

For the end of game player of the game announcement, it froze a replay of Mo throwing the final strike in mid-pitch and then framed a Topps baseball card around him to make a "Player of the Game" card. You could then hit X to view his stats on the back of the card. It looked really cool IMO.

Even cooler: Don't hit X. Just wait a second and it'll play a highlight package for that player.

Has a CPU batter call timeout yet? I like how some pitchers work faster than others. At least it feels that way.

The first time I played (As The Braves), I hit a homerun at home, and I noticed that they have a modified version of the song that plays when they hit one in real life. It resembles it well. Well Done Sony.

Now if we could get the Tomahawk chant we'd be all set.

OK, I almost fell outta my chair. I just finished a 13 inning game at San Diego, and right after Vasgersian (sp?) says "well take a look at the highlights of this 13 inning game, so long from us etc..." he then says (away from the mic, and towards his fellow commentators) "well there definitely isn't anything open at this hour..." He also said it in a very annoyed voice, as if he had been dying for the game to end.

lmao I love this game. Best game I own

I love the OFs reaction to line drives right at them! Sometimes they take a step back, then rush forward. Sometimes they just freeze. Sometimes they run forward, then pull up. Ive been begging for this forever.

I also love that the defenders run much slower when running back, because they are looking up at the ball while running.

The OFs still catch way too many balls via the ice skating sliding move; but these 'little things' make a world of difference nonetheless!

Had a line drive at Jon Jay (had him in right field), he reach down and I thought he had a shoelace catch, but it ended up just missing his glove (in the replay looked like an inch or two, to scale IRL), and the ball hit the grass and just died, and he turned around like "where the hell is it". The runner took off for second and just in time I grabbed the ball and gunned the guy out at 2nd. I was like, what just happened, and had to watch the replay a couple times.
