There is no need to aim the left stick. Use the right stick only, pulling back just before the pitcher releases the ball, and time your up swing.

hi, this may have been answered already and i apologize if it has..

i started a franchise already and i am 15 games in, do i need to start a new franchise for the patch to go into effect or will i be able to download the patch and continue on with the same franchise?

I guess given that they are leading the Central I thought it be weird to unload a significant piece during a title run...like I said the Yanks and a few other teams are trying to do the same thing. I think there's only a few guys I went and pulled off the 'block', Jaime Garcia and Pujols were both on it (and pulled by me) I'm tied with STL for 2nd in the Central, so given the absence of Wainwright, they both seemed weird.

might depend on your dificulty level, but if you want to gets hits on pitches painting the corners, or inside or outside pitches you have to use the left stick. Even if hit the direction of the pitch with the right stick it dosnt reach the edges of the strike zone we'll withouth the left stick. Down the middle not really right stick will do.

I don't use analog hitting, but this is not my understanding...

The left stick is not functional in analog hitting in everything that I have read about it.

When you swing forward with the right stick, you are to go inside or outside (left/right) with it to determine what side of the plate you are covering. The up/down aspect is automatically determined by the CPU based on timing and batter attributes.

I understand that PSN is down right now, but does that mean I cannot download the latest patch for The Show 12, if I buy the game now?

The patch is unrelated to PSN being down; it probably gets downloaded from a different server.

I just got prompted for the patch the other day, then tried again today. Every time the screen just goes black and the system resets.

I can only guess, but it's possible the download server is down and the process is not timed out gracefully... What I know for sure is that you do not need to be logged on to PSN to download the patch. Whether the download server is up or not now, I don't know...

Yeah, the PSN was shut down on April 20th and the patch came out on April 22...everyone that has downloaded the patch has it since the PSN has been down.

There might be 'other issues' at play here.

I had heard rumors that the PSN was scheduled to be coming back up any time now...I wonder if they have disabled more in preparation for this?

I've noticed since the patch no player gets more than a 1 year deal before they turn age 28. It happens, but it's rare. Doesn't make sense especially since they get expensive in arbitration. I just saw Mike Leake get 9.1 million in arbitration in RTTS fourth year in. It would have made a lot of sense to sign him long term before now.

Check the game data version.

I apologize for the dumb question but how do you check the game data version? I'm connected to the internet (checked that the internet browser works) but I'm not getting prompted for the patch when I boot the game.

Any help/suggestions are appreciated!! Thanks!!
