Re: Can we please start a list of "glitch" pitchers...

It's been an issue with the game forever. The problem is that specific pitcher animations are glitched -- either the normal release animation, the stretch release animation, or, in some cases, both.

Back in 08 I went thru every single pitching animation, both normal and stretch, testing to see which animations worked, and which were glitched and unusable. I created a list of maybe a total of 20-25 pitching animations that I found satifactory. The rest had either some major or minor glitch issue with the normal windup or the stretch windup (or both as I said). I then re-assigned every pitcher in the game one of those non-glitched animations. The whole process took a good week or more. It was definitely worth it from a gameplay perspective -- huge improvement in fact -- but I will never do that again. Too much work, ugh.

This is partly our fault.. I say this because we DEMAND that each pitcher have his true to life motion and with so many pitchers in the league it's hard to test each windup and make sure it's not "glitchy". I'm sure there are thousands in the game, I wouldn't mind having only 25 different pitch animations but you know most people on here would go crazy if Holladay's delivery looked like Joe Schmo's.

Completely agree. I'm not someone who cares if a pitcher or hitter has his correct pitching/swing animations, so I would have no problem using the 20 or so generic pitching animations that function properly and that aren't glitched.

It is partly our fault to some degree....
But this is also stemming from the new player models added this year(getting rid of the "short arming" from previous versions that we begged to be changed!)...and in the process it changed the release points of every pitcher. They tried to get every one of these changed, but....
The new player models added so much work to this game for '11 it's unbelievable. Honestly....adding new player models and changing everything that needed to be changed in the process should have been the only thing the team worked on....but of course we would freak if that happened!

....and this is not a list...it's a thread.
No offense...but the OP should be updating his post with each entry if he wants to hand this to the devs.

This is still an issue, does anyone have a list of pitchers in MLB 16 who had this issue?

Steven Matz and Corey Kluber are some, but there are many more who still have it. Typically relievers are more likely to have this as an issue.

How bad is it on 16? I was thinking about picking this game up. Is it a game killer or something that you can edit or something you can overlook after a while?

You are entitled to your opinion, but realize you are in the minority if u think MLB The Show 17 would be fine with 20 or so generic pitching animations.
