DYK some players wear baby blue wrist bands on Father's Day?

DYK that if you download the SCEA roster updates more than once for any given week the player potentials will change for players that weren't on the default roster from download to download?

DYK: When you warm up a pitcher in the bullpen they play short toss catch first ... both in the Bullpen screen and in-game?

DYK: If you throw your pitches for strikes in the warmup phase, your pitch effectiveness will increase.

Which is labeled under "Pitch Delay".

To piggyback on this one, did you know that if you have your presentation setting set to "Fast Play", you can make the game go extremely fast if you have "Pitch Delay" on "Fast". On "Normal" or "Slow", there is more time allotted between pitches and it's a tad slower of a "Fast Play."

Pretty cool! I thought Fast Play was just super fast this year, but I forgot I had changed Pitch Delay to Fast beforehand. Now, I can't use anything else!

Did you know there are sliders for the impact of the wind and how fast people can run?

Did you know that certain umpires have different strike zones?

DYK: If you cycle through stadiums choices before you're scheduled to play a day game past historical stadiums, it will switch the time of game to nighttime (and you can't switch it back).

DYK: If your pitcher gets injured and has to exit the game the replacement enters the game cold (unless you had him warming up before the injury).

                  Re: Did you Know?

The above has happened to me before for sure. My pitcher got hit by a hard hit up the middle in the leg and got injured. The pitcher I replaced him with was cold, and I had no chance to warm him up even though I have warmups on.

                    Re: Did you Know?

After thinking about what JoeJoeJoe said, I think I did get a chance to pitch 8 warmup pitches, which still left the new pitcher cold on his meter. So I think I did to try to warm them up, but 8 pitches didn't even come close to helping.

                      Re: Did you Know?

I'm pretty sure the pitcher is automatically warm, even though it says he is cold, even w/o actually throwing warmup pitches. I remember someone saying that was the case in 2010.

Did you know that you can turn off the large multi-colored fielding circle under your players, and have a lot more control (and some heart-attack moments) in the outfield?

                            Re: Did you Know?

I will look tonight for you for sure, but I believe it is the:
                            Catch Region Indicator= Off

This turns off the concentric circles underneath the fielder, and this also turns off the "suck-in animation that causes the misplays of flyballs, as well as the slow-down animation.

The great part is that the better the outfielder, the smaller the ball landing marker is, thereby rewarding you for a defensive replacement in the late innings.

The other way to see the effect is to watch a pop up in the infield, and if your pitcher is slated to make the catch, hit the L-Trigger to switch to an infielder, and the ball marker will shrink, because that player has a better defensive rating.

I did this about a month or so ago, and the game has changed totally for me in the outfield. So much better.

Found this out the hard way the other day lol! I remember having a lead and bringing in my reliver late in the game. During my warmup i remember turning to my brother and saying "I didn't like the way that warmup went". Low and behold he had a complete melt down causing us to lose the game. I was crushed to say the least but man you gotta love that realism.

After reading about being able to use a tv view while running the bases in RTTS I thought it would be great, unfortunatley its only for the "new" wonky system of running bases not the L1,R1 "classic" type. owell
