      Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

With fast forwarding pitching I need an American league team. I am constantly pinch hitting and then not having someone warm to pitch. I've been the Mets, but I want to switch to an American League team on the same level as them (poor). I'm also doing season mode, so I don't have to deal with 3 levels of minor league players.

      Any suggestions?

Did you use the Vault for Cespedes? I'm playing with the A's also, going through Spring Training to get used to the game (first timer to the series). I'm debating on whether to wait for the OSFM rosters or not.

I ended up with the Blue Jays and I am doing Season Mode with some of the rosters which came out today. Jose Bautista is a complete joke on this game.

I played 2 games with the Jays, one on Rookie default, then the next on Veteran default. In two games I have outscored the Indians 14-1!!!!

What have I been thinking toying with the idea of being slug teams all the time.

I have even drawn 8 BBs in the two games!!

so my home opener was quite good. i was down goin into the 7th inning 4-5 , started the inning with posey and sandoval gettin on by base hits and theriot coming off the bench with a cluth 2 run double to take the lead and eventually saved the game with wilson! started my season out 2-0 then lost 4 straight then just won my homeopener . looking forward to a great rest of the series against the pirates. really feelin my chise

I grabbed some rosters off the vault with some top prospects, so here's my lineup:

                        CF Denard Span
                        SS Tsuyoshi Nishioka
                        C Joe Mauer
                        1B Justin Morneau
                        RF Josh Willingham
                        DH Ryan Doumit
3B Miguel Sano(R) (Vallencia fractured his wrist)
                        LF Ben Revere
                        2B Alexi Casilla

                        Bench
                        IF Jamey Carroll
                        OF Trevor Plouffe
                        1B Chris Parmelee(R)
                        OF Joe Benson(R)

The lineup is pretty solid, lots of power. I think all but one of my runs have been scored on home runs. The pitching however is dreadful. Marquis got shelled by the Angels and there is basically no potential in the minors. I'll probably have to trade some hitters to be able to have a chance to stay in games
                        1-3 so far...

I'm a rookie to The Show and after many exhibition games, I think I'm ready to dive into franchise mode with the Cardinals.

I'll go with the first SCEA roster update and play ST to shore up the bullpen and 2B.

I just picked up Derek Lee (1yr 4 mil) in my franchise to provide some depth. I'm 3-1. My bench is terrible, I have Gerald Laird, Santiago, Inge, and Don Kelly are .215 hitters (except for Santiago.) So I could use a quality pinch hitter so Lee seemed like a good fit. I gave him a start at DH agaisnt a lefty last game and he went 1-3.

Do u guys do multiple teams in 1 franchise or a couple of franchise's with 1 team? I would like to be a couple teams and would like some feedback on how you do them? I am going with the Astro's and would like to be a crappy AL team also. Big Tigers fan but I like to build teams up. So not sure what AL team to be yet.
