26 innings on this years game In franchise mode, final score was 4-2 Yankees (Me) over the Tigers. I Threw C.C 10 innings and took him out in the bottom of the eleventh Leading 2-1 over the tigers. Brought in Mo got 2 quickly and then served up a double followed by a single to tie the game. Left Rivera in, he pitched a scoreless 12th, brought in Robertson pitched the nxt two innings followed up by another 2 innings from Soriano. Boone Logan pitched the 17th and since that was pretty much everyone in the bullpen who i could pitch well with I brought in Andy Petitte. Score was the same until the top of the 26th I launched a 2 shot with Grandy and then Pettite took care of the tigers in the bottom of the 26th to Finnish the game. My eyes were burning by the time it was over

Re: What is the longest game you've played in the MLB:The Show series?

Just had a game go 26 innings. Final tale of the tape between the teams:
193 total at bats
47 total hits
42 total strikeouts
15 pitchers used total
My RTTS player (Zeller) was 3 for 12, and recorded 37 putouts at 1B. Just glad I only do batting...that's a lot of standing around in the field.Comment

I played in a 27 inning game in an online match in MLB 11. I was the Mariners, he was the Padres. King Felix vs. Latos. It was 0-0 at the end of 9, we swapped runs in the 12th, and 16th. then it remained a 2-2 game all the way through the 26th, and with both bull pens used up to the max, Dustin Ackley came up after he had walked Ichiro and proceeded to crush a 2 run walk off HR. We were both relieved that the marathon of a game ended. I think it took close to 3 hours of real time to complete. With the match up we chose (he was a friend not a random), we should have foreseen this coming. lolLast edited by PackElite12; 04-15-2012, 12:39 AM.Comment

Re: What is the longest game you've played in the MLB:The Show series?
I had a similar situation in my MLB '11 season with the Rockies. But, my bullpen wasn't tired going into the game; however, they certainly were afterwards. For me it was my starting position players who needed a rest (Tulo, Cargo, Fowler). I was 2.5 games behind the Giants in our division, and I had 3 game series coming with them. I knew I needed to give several starters a day off so that I could try to use those head-to-head games to even up with the Giants. But, losing the game right before that series wouldn't help either.
So, my plan was--considering I was playing the last place Padres--to use my starters, with any luck I would build a lead and be able to pull guys pretty early and give them at least a half day of rest. Well, I put 2 up in the first, and think it's a good start. But, then my bats go quiet. And, by the 6th, the Padres had tied it up. It stayed that way until the 17th, when I doubled in a runner from second to win the game.
My series with Giants started the next day, now all of my positional starters were below 1/2 energy (they basically played 2 games in one day). And, those who were tired before that game were basically exhausted at this point and I had no option but to open the series without them.
And, to make matters worse, my bullpen which wasn't tired before, was now tired across the board. Just my luck, I had a bad start from De La Rosa, and I had to pull him in the 4th, and rely on some guys who would be lucky to throw 20 pitches without being drained.
Let's just say I didn't make up any ground on the Giants during that series.Last edited by chrishthomas; 04-15-2012, 08:01 AM.Comment

Re: What is the longest game you've played in the MLB:The Show series?
Wow, that's crazy..
Just had a game go 26 innings. Final tale of the tape between the teams:
193 total at bats
47 total hits
42 total strikeouts
15 pitchers used total
My RTTS player (Zeller) was 3 for 12, and recorded 37 putouts at 1B. Just glad I only do batting...that's a lot of standing around in the field.
I just did a 17 inning game in my RttS AAA Bisons SP. Left the game after the 7th with a 2-1 lead only to have my relief have a run scored on him
Game finally ended with a hit to the RF wall to bring in the winning run on 3B (base runners on 2nd and 3rd). I was exhausted IRL, as it was well after 4:30 AM. Team made it to the play-offs (sim'd to my next start) So I thought cool I'll play some more games, but I got called up to The Show.
Note to self - Don't pitch games after 4:30AM playing the Nats when you are trying to get a solid hold down only 1 run LOL (couldn't hit the side of a barn at that point and had 4 runs off of 5 hits)____________________________________________

In MLB 11 I had one go 17 innings..it was exhilarating, tied at 2 since the bottom of the 9th...then I threw a meatball to start the bottom of the 17th and Matt Kemp took me the distance...heartbreaking.Comment
