Re: ANyone use the classic stadiums for Franchise?
It has less to do with DLC sales than obtaining the rights to make the stadiums.Comment

Re: ANyone use the classic stadiums for Franchise?
What you're saying is that one HAS to be online to use classic stadiums and you CAN NOT purchase them to use in offline franchise?
Thanks!Comment

Re: ANyone use the classic stadiums for Franchise?
You can use them for your offline franchise. You just have to be online when you choose the stadium to use as these classic stadiums are not on the disk and can only be used when you are connected online.Comment

Try playing the A's in Shibe Park. That's where they originated from in Philadelphia.Comment

Re: ANyone use the classic stadiums for Franchise?
Kind of surprised by all the positive comments about the Kingdome. Having gone to my share of games there, I always thought it was pretty non-descript, and there's really nothing worse than watching baseball inside. Not much to distinguish it from other 60s and 70s stadiums: you had the big wall in right (the "Walla Walla"), the speakers hanging from the ceiling that were in play, and every once in a while tiles would fall from the roof. They had some entertaining teams, but I just don't get the appeal of the stadium itself...Comment

Actually, they are on the disc... they are just locked through DRM, your online connectivity serves as your access key. Theoretically, you could sign out of PSN after you've selected your stadium, and started your game.Comment

Re: ANyone use the classic stadiums for Franchise?
In my franchise..
A's play in Shibe
Rays play in Polo Grounds
Mainly because I dont care for their current stadiums. The A's used to play in Shibe when they were in Phila. I just have the Rays play in Polo because I love the stadium.Comment

Re: ANyone use the classic stadiums for Franchise?
Esp. since I homered off the big scoreboard / sign in the right / center alley...
I then tried "American Greens" in the minor league section and really, really loved it...
The color are exactly like the A's, deep green / yellow, etc...
I also like the big black rectangle that's behind the view of the pitcher (while batting w catcher cam)...
Bit easier to pick up the ball off of that contrasted background...
Good stuff!Comment

Re: ANyone use the classic stadiums for Franchise?
I just purchased the stadium pack. Playing at the Polo Grounds, if you hit a ball deep to the "bull pen" in the outfield, it's an inside the park home run.
Wish they had more stadiums, it would have been really cool to play in the Kingdome even though I didn't like that place. Montreal and the old Comiskey Park would've been nice as well.Comment

Re: ANyone use the classic stadiums for Franchise?
The Mets 1st couple of seasons were in the Polo Grounds if I'm not mistaken. Between there and Shea,Mets franchisers could play in a different park at home for a 3 game series.
If I remember from other threads,it takes approx. 4 months to design a stadium for the game. Probably the biggest stumbling block to get classic parks in. Too bad they can't add some kind of stadium editor or builder. The Rays could have a new home that looked like this,,,http://fredtopeka.files.wordpress.co...ilraysnew2.jpg
Stadiums like Tiger Stadium.old Comiskey, Ebbetts, KC Municipal, etc. would be cool.Comment
