cnet.com is also a good spot. They usually have hands on reviews with videos.

I'd honestly take cnet's advice lightly. They tend to present professional reviews, but I don't trust the people that review them. They may give honest opinions, but they don't spend enough time with each tv or do the weird testing for minute things that are important to specific customers. They are very general. The people on AVS forums are crazy when it comes to what they do to their TVs. Demanding refunds for one dead pixel, spending hundreds of hours running test patterns on their tvs to "wear them in". I trust the crazy people more than anyone.

My experiences with cnet has been good ones. Theyre very knowledgeable and will tell you honestly if something is a POS. Today, before I buy anything electronic, I check with them and their consumer reviews. I have yet to see a review that was inaccurate. I even checked them before my mother-in-law bought us a Keurig.

        But everyone is different.

It's not that some people don't want to, some people just can't afford it.

I still play the show on my 32inch tube tv, game still looks beautiful ha. However, im a college student with a car payment and insurance, a phone bill, and have to put gas into my car too often, and I have low hours at work. Not much I can do...

Although I will say I have been saving up a bit and am looking to get a Panasonic 42" before the 13 release. I just need to do some serious reading up, as others have suggested, on input lag and all that stuff. Last 32inch flatscreen I bought 3 years ago the lag was so bad I sold it immediately and stayed away from flatscreens for a while. Hopefully this changes though next month and I can get a good lag free Tv.

            2 TOTALLY different things!

This game does not look nor act the same on a non HD tube TV vs an HD Flatscreen.

Not only can you not use an HDMI cable, but even if you did, it would do you no good. The point here is, that if you have an HDTV, you should be using HDMI or component at the VERY least. Anything less than that and you are doing yourself and this game a disservice.

Whilst I can understand some people can't afford it, when I bought a ps3/Xbox 360 way back when, I first of all bought a TV to play on.

I kind of thought there was no point in moving to HD gaming without an HD TV. Flatscreen HDTVs can be dirt cheap these days too.
