I hate playing with the same damn team every single game, & also hate people who do that .. don't play franchise so I will be rolling with all the teams in the online mode
For those of you who use a different team each year, who are you going with?

Actually they did quite the opposite with Choo, he plays for the Reds now.
Also to answer the question, I might go with the Indians or Braves. Both should be really fun this year.Boston Red Sox

Hmm, I've played as the:
- Giants
- Red Sox
- Braves
- Brewers
- Reds
- Orioles
- Blue Jays
- Cardinals
I might try the Mariners, Twins, go back to the Giants or Braves, or play Diamond Dynasty.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Off topic, but why doesn't he have a bubble gum or smokeless tobacco deal. Or better yet an Amtrak deal in Ohio. The Cleveland to Cincinnati train could be called the "Shin-Soo Choo Choo"Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

I'll play a ATL franchise until the OSFM roster is released when I'll start the usual Blue Jays and Giants franchises. And probably mix in a Nationals franchise at some point this year.Comment

I always do one with the Yankees when OSFM comes out. I usually do a fantasy draft franchise before the OSFM rosters come out. I may do two different Yankees franchises this year: one true to life 30 team control keeping everything real where I have to suffer with Arod's contract and develop talent without trades unless they happen in real life (what I typically do), and then another where I try desperately to get rid of Arod if that is even possible and make moves as if I was the GM.NHL: Rangers

Re: For those of you who use a different team each year, who are you going with?
If you want to spin his message a different way, I agree with him when it comes to online play.
You play NBA 2K, and you'll see the same rotation of teams getting picked (Celtics, Lakers, Heat, Thunder, Spurs... rinse and repeat). You'll never see the other teams get their due. The same people pick teams, and people pick the same teams.
Same goes in the baseball world, and playing online it could definitely be an annoyance. I think there should be a penalty or balance system for picking the same team over and over, or it should be asterisked/balanced in a certain way where picking stronger teams gets you less XP overall. Think MLB 2K's perfect game challenge system last year; something along those lines.
I know, it's only fair that you always get a choice of who to play with as you have the exact same choice, but I enjoy balance and mixture as much as the next guy.
As far as franchise, I think that's an asinine statement. The only way I can have any emotional/personal investment in my players is if I play with them all of the time, recognize their tendencies, etc. I like to play with a deep roster and get everybody in the game during the season, being "loyal" to them and such. "One team" in a season is all I could legitimately do. If I just played random exhibition games with certain teams, there isn't any strategy or fun for me.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

The problem is when your favorite team becomes the one that's picked all of the time. I don't think I'll have that problem this year if I decide to go online though.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

I'll be doing a true-to-life Phillies franchise as usual, and I'll also probably be playing some Show Live games as the Tampa Bay Rays who are my favorite AL team.Comment

Re: For those of you who use a different team each year, who are you going with?
It is like that with any sports game online though. A lot of people just bandwagon each year. If someone likes the Astros and someone picks their favorite team, for instance the Yankees, then they will: 1. change their team to compete, 2. play as the Astros b/c they do not care if they lose or 3. play as the Astros b/c they believe they are talented enough to win regardless of who they play with and would rather be extremely familiar with their players. Most people especially casual players choose option 1. I play as my favorite teams every year, year in and year out. But it sucks b/c once your team becomes good people try to call you a bandwagon fan. Haha. This seems to happen frequently in online sports gaming. Oh well. It is what it is.If you want to spin his message a different way, I agree with him when it comes to online play.
