I know it's not going to matter to you guys...no matter what I say it's not going to suffice....
But(and sydrogerdavid can attest to this somewhat)...
The dev who handles the uniforms came to me at the event and wanted to go over some things with me(I was PM'ing sydrogerdavid at some point in this) and I WATCHED him go through the messages on the boards.....looked at the uni's he had on his dev kit(A LOT) and then had to refer to the infamous style guide in order to be allowed to enter the uniform into the game.
We went through quite a number of teams...but in some instances....even though he has the correct hat/sock/whatever on his kit...he CANNOT put it in until the MLB(team.....whoever) updates the style guide to show that combo.
(I'm speaking of the Nats here...I'm pretty sure that was one he showed me)
HANDS ARE TIED.
(as much as you don't want to hear it)

The problem with the Cardinals situation is just due to the lack of slots.

We are left with a strange combination of hats to uniforms. Where the problem lies is that the Cardinals now have three different home uniform combinations, while the game only allows two slots.

It came down to the choice of either having the Sunday hat with the normal uniform or having the red hat with an awesome new alternate. There was no way they could have paired the Sunday hat with the alternate uniform because the SG doesn't allow it. While at the same time, there is no way they were going to leave that new uniform out of the game. So the Sunday cap was the old one out.

I even looked for a way around it, maybe put the Sunday cap in the normal home slot, but no go. The Cardinals primary uniform doesn't call for the Sunday cap, it can't go in the primary slot.

It seems like the older teams have a better track record with avoiding these errors in The Show. Probably because they care more about their image, thus keeping their SG up to date.







As for the Uniform Table, I suggest we put in either the BP cap or the Throwback Old cap or what should be the Sunday Alt slot. They are the closest to the Sunday cap and from what I saw, they were the same thing.

Those black Mets jerseys just will not go away. If a nuclear bomb ever hits the country the only things that will survive are roaches, and those black Mets jerseys.....and maybe Keith Richards.

Also they have Jose Bautista on the cover of the Canadian version in the red Canada Day jerseys, but those aren't in the game either.

I don't really care about that, actually, as a Jays fan. They only wear them for one day. Plus I hate that they wear blue accessories with it.

I've got tickets to the Canada Day game this year, though. First Canada Day game I'll have ever gone to.

I've heard that they don't. Classic SG issue where the Indians haven't updated it.

I don't know if 2K13 has to follow the guide like The Show, but when I tested out the demo the Indians home alt had the red undershirt. The socks and belt however, were still blue. I'm wondering if this is how they'll be in The Show.

Overall I'm pleased with the new throwback uniforms and SCEA finally corrected the 1980 Mariners road uniforms as in previous years they were gray which is incorrect. They are powder blue.

The video didn't show pants either as I was hoping the Indians bloody Mary red pants were in to match their red uniforms.

SCEA seemed to screw up on the Pirates 78 uniform. They do have the yellow jersey which is correct but the white jersey they have in the slot is inaccurate and resembles the 1971 home uniform. The Pirates did have a white uniform in 1978 but it had black and yellow pinstripes.

I'm disappointed to see the Cardinals Bird on the hat Sunday home cap disappear but I'll take the 82 & 42 uniforms any day of the week.

I most likely will not use the 1974 Braves uniforms as it looks like SCEA didn't bother to correct the batting helmet and socks so hopefully the Dale Murphy TBS era set is correct.

I am, too. sydrogerdavid suggested a solution to the problem, but the slot thing just kills me.

I'm also disappointed to see the Tampa Bay Rays Carolina blue uniforms go to pasture in the Show as I'm not sure if the Rays have retired that jersey or what. The New York Mets have retired the hideous black uniform so no reason for SCEA to put it in.

I hate to see the Carolina blue uniforms go, too, but I do like the design of the fauxback. I've never been a fan of the Rays' regular four jerseys.

The Reds haven't said how often they will wear the 'Los Rojos' uniforms, but they said they might wear it on the road if they come up against a team doing a heritage night. At home, though, they wouldn't say anything.

I doubt they'll wear the red uniforms on the road. They never have in the past few years.
