Hmm..maybe that is where Knight's suggestion of a 3rd profile comes into play. Maybe you need to set the profile to the team you are about to play and then adjust the lineup. I really dont know and will live with the lineups if I have to.

Or, as I read in this forum a while ago, have 2 controllers and set the 2nd controller to the team you play and then when the game starts move the controller for the second team back to the cpu. Sound like a pain but may be worth a shot.

There are two times that the CPU will change the lineups if you have them on MANUAL.

-The first day after Spring Training ends....this is actually where you have to set the lineups for them to "stick"
-Simming games....the CPU will sub for fatigue and the "the coach thinks that so and so needs" or "so and so looks tired" or "so and so needs a day in the lineup"....or "so and so drank his wart medication and has a tummy ache"(just seeing if you're still reading! )

Otherwise...when you are playing games...it should be the lineups that you set.

Knight, I think I won't be starting a new franchise in 12 after all. Made good on a few bets and now I have some extra money to use, so I'll be getting 13 and start a franchise once the OSFM roster drops. If the problem with the trades persists I'll PM you that franchise file to see what I'm doing wrong.

hmm..im thinkin maybe ill just leave the lineups up to the cpu even if i disagree with them because even if i get them to stick by doing this u also gotta consider that in real life they will make a lot more lineup changes for things other than tiredness or wart meds lol...knight..idk who u are but one thing i know is that i stumbled upon osfm quite by accident a few yrs ago and now i cant imagine playin w/o them so just gotta say thanks..and ckarlic u can set lineups b4 ur games to look realistic but now that i think about it im just gonna let it be because its not like teams just have sensible lineups only vs one of 30 teams in real life so like i said hopefully some rly advance AI is on the ps4 version which to be honest is what im rly anticipating now b/c even after this patch release a lot of things are still off in my book..i know i might come off as hard to please but when it comes to my baseball thats absolutely the truth and ive been spoiled by the show and osfm the past few yrs

Re: Franchise withOUT using 30 team control

I want to do 30 team control, but have a question:

I can't figure out how to assign the team I want to control to my profile and the 29 others to a different one.

            What am I missing?

            Do I need two controllers?

At the team selection screen, with the right joystick when you have a team highlighted, you move the joystick to the right until the setting you have created for the other 29 teams shows up. You gotta do it for all 29 teams though...

First you need to create a second profile (name it CPU or something to distinguish it from yours). On the profile change all franchise options to auto except anything you want to control for the computer (note: if you make trades manual the computer will not make any offers). Next when you start a franchise you need to change every team except the team(s) that you are controlling to the cpu profile (I believe with the right joystick however I haven't physically done it yet this year). Change the team(s) you are controlling to whatever profile you usually use. Viola!

Hope this helps! If not their is a franchise guide that contains step by step instructions that I think you can find if you just season franchise guide.

That's what I thought too, but it is not saving for me when in Franchise Mode.

I created a setting called "CPU" with everything set to AUTO. Manually set "CPU" for 29 Teams at the select screen.

However, when I start the mode and go to check if the settings save, it still has everything in mode specific set to Manual for the 29 other teams. It seems that the current default of "Expert" still saves for all 30 teams.

However, when I go to "Settings File Association", it still correctly lists the 29 teams as "CPU" and my 1 as "Expert" but it doesn't reflect this when I look in the actual mode specific settings.

                  What am I doing wrong?

Just a hunch but when you're checking the settings, are you looking at the settings of YOUR profile or that of the CPU profile? Sounds like you're looking at the former.

I do 30 team because I love being the in mind of every gm and making decisions to improve every single team. I end up playing the games i feel like playing.

I'm wondering about how much effort is needed to keep lineups and rotations realistic when using 30 team control. So how often do I need to readjust them/how often does the CPU change them?

                        Think I found the answer:

So concluding there is actually no point in using a roster with correct lineups for my franchise since they will be reset after ST anyways?
