So at the start of my franchise, the team I care about is the only one set to my profile, all the others are set to a CPU profile with everything set to Auto. My question is... I started my franchise with all the players with at least 2 weeks of DL time needed on each team's respective DL, when their injury clears, will the computer activate the player and put him on the MLB team if he belongs there (i.e. Yankee's Teixeira)?

yes if the DL players are on the 40 man roster

Just noticed with this yesterday, possibly a bug. If you take a player off the 40 man for entire season he loses his contract in the offseason. I was playing with some rosters I downloaded and they had all the injured guys like ARod off the 40. In the offseason they were all free agents.

Just an FYI

Did you report this...?

I'll try and test it out....
I've got limited time...but that would be kind of big.

What is the purpose of moving the guys who are out for the year (like Johan Santana) to minors instead of just moving them to the DL?

No just noticed last night using a set of rosters top prospects or something....to test something. Got to the offseason and noticed AROD and a bunch of players were free agents. Checked the roster and they were not on 40 man. I guess who ever made the roster left them off(because they were injured) Arod's, Tex etc....all became free agents. The contracts were correct in the rosters as well.

Sometimes there isn't even room on the DL, you can only have 5 or 6 guys (cant remember the exact number off the top of my head) on the DL at a time. A work-around would be sending him to the single-A if you have reached your DL limit.

I just did this....
I had all teams with everything AUTO..
I took CC Sabathia off the 40 man and put him in A(he has a 1/4 16 million contract)
Simmed to the off season...simmed the off season and he had his contract and they put him back on the 40 man and on the MLB squad.

I'll keep checking though.

Well, not sure if they are or not because I used the 25-man roster that I believe you uploaded to start my franchise. Didn't you only put the active roster people on the 40-man?

yep, hence the 25 man roster. My franchise file will be more accurate

I just did this....

Did you have him off the 40 in the front end? The roster had the guys off the 40 in the front end roster. I then started the franchise with the rosters.

I didn't report it because I wanted to test it first.

EDIT:

Just tested it with OSFM. Took the roster and removed AROD and TEX from 40 man saved and started a franchise. Everything to Auto, cpu moved them to AAA but never put them on the 40. In the offseason they are both free agents.

So I currently have a franchise with 30 team control and two profiles set up (one for me and one for the CPU). I just finished Spring Training and I have manually injured all the players who are on the DL in real life.

I'm in the process of fixing the CPU's lineups. I have their lineups/rotations on MANUAL and everything else on AUTO. Will the CPU still adjust their lineups for injuries or will I have to do it for every team?

Yep...if a player starts off the season not on the 40 man with a multi year deal and never gets put on...his contract resets to a 1 year deal following the regular season.

Sending this to Aaron_SCEA and Luis_SCEA right away.
I'll also bring up the CPU never taking a guy out of the minors if healthy and a better option.(this one does work if he's injured at the MLB level though)

So anyone with a multi year deal...starting the season NOT on the 40 will have his contract reset?
