THIS! 7 pitch innings indicates you are throwing mostly strikes. If you're constantly leaving the ball in the zone, they will eventually start hitting them, that's just baseball.

        ^^^

I want a PM on Minor's outing. Over/Under for Innings Pitched is set at 5. I'm taking the Under...

As for the issue, as many have said, throw balls, man. Walking batters is NOTHING to be scared about, giving up 3+ HR is.

From my experience and I have played well over 100+ games on 13 there is no comeback code. I have found during games where in get lazy and follow the same pattern pitching all game that I get shelled after about 2 time through the order. The 3rd time they (the computer) has figured it out. The AI in this game is pretty good. Same as if I'm batting and can't hit a curve that is all I see all game. Makes for great realism if you ask me. I enjoy playing a game where the computer can figure out what you are doing. NCAA football would be a lot more fun if their AI was as good as The Shows! Just my 2 cents!

              Mike Minor.

              CG, 2 ER, 4 H, 3 BB, 7 K (struck out M.K. Knight twice!)

He tossed around a 135 pitches, but I threw in a couple extra just for you IL4T.

But when my pitcher has been dominating all game. And suddenly the CPU just figures everything out is a little suspicious. It happens in every game. I just had a 3 run lead in the 6th. Pitcher sure as hell wasnt tired after throwing only 37 pitches through 5. Yet everything i threw was getting hit. Not hard. But always just out of reach of a fielder. Its kinda BS. I didnt change what i was doing. Wasnt throwing the same pitches over and over in the same spot.

I wouldnt mind so much if it was just the pitching. But when they start hitting. Then all of a sudden i cant. I had a triple a 3 doubles off the starter in the 5th. Yet back out comes the same pitcher in the 6th and 7th. Not one hit or walk. Painting the coroners perfectly. Pitch right down the middle with perfect timing and solid contact. Grounder to 3rd. Maybe its just me. But im calling shenanigans on the no comeback code.
I didn't read everyone else's replies because I'm at work but I suspect you need to make the computer throw more pitches, and you arent throwing enough. when I face a good hitter like Votto, I tend to throw him a lot of pitches because I really try to pitch around him out of respect. Don't mind walking him. also try using my mound visits, to slow down the pace.

Re: Getting hard to even play a game

I'm currently 15-14 with my Phillies, and once I've handed the ball off to Adams/Bastardo in the 8th, the CPU has yet to come back and beat me once.

I think it's often the case that people leave their SP's in too long or don't bring in the right guys to face the batter that is up. Remember, everything about those late innings are a chess match. Don't be afraid to utilize double switches, defensive replacements, shifts, etc.
