By "last year," do you mean the last four years? I'm just making sure you're still referring to the same one that's featured in Home Run Derby.

I only had two quips with that camera view, and one of them isn't even a real quip:

    1) The camera pre-determines where the ball is going to land, and fixes its height there. So if it is going to land in McCovey Cove at AT&T Park (since it's basically at "ground level"), the camera won't lift high and you won't see the flight of the ball; meanwhile, if it hits off the top of a foul pole, the camera will angle very high upward and you'll see the entire flight path of the ball.

    2) Not really a quip, but we need this camera for regular games at all times. It's as close to a real-life broadcast as we'll ever get, it seems. The camera is still a bit low (like a FOX Saturday national broadcast), but I would settle for that. Instead, the "broadcast" camera that we've had is not only very low, but it's not stationary and it looks down the left- and right-field lines on balls hit in those directions. We need one right behind home plate, high up, and stationed in one spot for gameplay, much like that home run cam.

Home run cam is something I've always turned off when playing the Show… It takes away any mystery or drams with the hit and I hate that… I love not knowing for sure it's a home-run and enjoying the drama of that… If someone in the production of the Show turned that option off to force us to have the home-run cam I"m seriously gonna be ticked off.. I HATE IT when they take away user options because there is absolutely no reason for that… Ps4 version better give me that option or I seriously won't enjoy the game as much… It's a simple little option that makes a big impact on the experience…

I purposely threw meatballs ( hahaha Ahhh the good old days) to try and give up the homerun ball. I have up three in six innings, and all three were over 400 feet, and all three were the " behind the catcher, lift the catcher's mask, and watch the homerun" homerun camera option.

            All three.

I do not care to see this camera view on a homerun. Ever.

How do I shut it off?

I can see they are reading this thread, anyone going to fess up?

Can someone give a video of it? I'm not even sure what it looks like.

Is this a part of the dynamic defensive camera?

Re: How to turn HR camera off

When testing out some sliders during a cpu vs. cpu game I finally didn't get the home run camera on a 'no doubt' home run by Jimmy Rollins. The camera gave me the stadium shot instead of him in a home run pose.

I had the Broadcast camera turned on for 'batting and baserunning', 'pitching', and 'fielding'. So I'm not sure which setting did it, and I'm also not sure if it happened just because I wasn't personally controlling one of the teams.

                Just thought I'd mention it.

I've played a couple games with the camera on "high" throwing nothing but meatballs and hittings lots of home runs with positive results. I didn't get the home run camera once with this camera. Can anybody else test this?

Maybe hope for a quick fix or that it was accidentally left out but there is an on/off toggle for HR cam when you go into the menus in COTW.

                              Both, unfortunately.
