Runner on first, Dobbs hits a double I send the runner to 3B but you can see he rounds second then goes back to second in which I have to press the buttons again to make him go to 3B now Dobbs who I told to go to second gets to second and rounds it going to 3B which i did not tell him to do so ya this is kinda pissing me off
That animation of the runner just passing second and going back to the bag is a standard animation when no input is given to the runner. So either you did not input the first time correctly, your controller has some issues or there is a recognition problem with the game.

Like I said earlier I am going to try this tonight to see if I can duplicate some of these.

I was doing the input from the time the ball left the bat and he just rounded and went back then I had to input again for him to run. I always press the button like 5 times to make sure he is going just like I have done on The Show for years.

I play with the same controller on MLB 13 just the other day and no problems like this

and I will try another controller later when I get back home

I also have some other video's to post later, and do try it please and see what you think.

and I only told Dobbs who go the base hit to go to second which you can see he did then he just took 3rd on his own.

Something has changed and im trying to get used to it but it is rough

This is why I do auto base running even though the CPU makes stupid mistakes somtimes liking deciding to take off to home with no chance, assist base running drives me crazy, hopfully they fix the auto base running where you can actually manually steal soon.

On this double I sent the runner from second home but as you see he did not go right away. Then the guy from first ended up going home and I did nothing with that guy the hitter I only sent him to second but he went to third anyway

On this one as soon as the ball went through I was pressing the buttons to send the runner home and you see he holds up at third, and Stanton ends up running to second

in a bases loaded situation wouldn't you just hit R2 to advance all runners??

I never have been able to work out the damm running half of the time Ill panic hit the wrong stick nothing will happen.

default isn't it you use the left stick to choose the runner you want to move then hit triangle to move to 2nd for eample?

maybe they should just get rid of hitting the base they need to go to and just hit left and runner will move auto to next base that would be so much easier

In most situations I hold R1 to advance runners and when they pass the base I let go so they stop at the next base. From there, if necesarry, I go control a runner individual.

After years of playing The Show this works best for me.

I have always used the direction buttons and the circle triangle and square and never have had any issues in previous games but as you can see in the video's this year is giving me fits.

I would use Auto base running but cant stand that when the ball is clearly off the wall they just stand on base and wait till it bounces off to run

I have never seen that happen with auto base running. One thing that always bothered me was they always knew if it was gonna be caught or not right away. They never seem to be wrong and never have to wait to see.

When you guys are using default base running you're not seeing guys stop at 2nd or 3rd before going to the next base? I know I am. They always stop rounding them bases when I try to send them so I have to stop them because they won't make it otherwise.

I played a couple games using classic and I am not seeing issues at all. I know it is not what everyone wants to hear but I have some videos of classic in action:

Well, I'm on the other side of the fence. I too had to switch to Auto baserunning, after finding classic to be pretty much bricked. I got frustrated with runners running to an occupied base, because the controls weren't working properly. I don't know how many times I had a runner stop at third, even though I gave him the command to go home, then to have the batter keep going all the way to third.

Something is off, that the icon buttons aren't showing on the screen properly, or something. The controls are definitely NOT responding how they should.

Sounds like some people are having a problem, some people aren't. I'm telling ya man, I am a show VET, LOVE this game, but something's up with the baserunning. I just tried it again on classic, man on first, base hit to left, i send the man on first to third (just to test it, he would have been out) and I didn't touch a thing after that, and he turned around 1/2 way between second and third and went back to second and was caught in a run down and thrown out. Based on the settings, he should have went to third and never stopped.

I just dont know why they changed the classic base running I never had an issue or disliked it in anyway. Was easy to advance runners and they did what you told them to do.

So im not really sure if this is a bug and should be reported or not but I think I will

I did add it to the bug report as # 10812
It is most definitely an issue that needs to be addressed. I submitted a bug report as well, about a week ago. Let's hope they see it through & work on resolving it.

I have always used classic, going back to 08. Suppose I could bite the bullet & try default but that system is so cumbersome I wonder why it was ever introduced in the first place.
