Players for whom no "face" has been added to the game return a player with fully editable facial features. Thus, it seems to me that those players for whom the "Jeter" face appears are players whose faces have been added by SCEA to the game but for which their true face does not appear because of the bug. In view of this perhaps it would be useful to create a second list of those players for which the Jeter face is returned instead of the correct face so we will know which players faces should appear once the bug is fixed.

The players that are fully editable, are players that were created by editing an existing minor leaguer. The ones with the "Jeter" face were created using a player from "Create a Player." However, one of the loopholes that was found is that if you export a "Create a Player", and that player happened to have been in an MLB the Show game since '07, instead of getting the Jeter face you get that player's face (if you use his corresponding audio)

So, basically, if a player was never in MLB the Show '07 - '11 (as a regular or a Legend), and you export a "Create a Player" you will get Jeter face. Export an edited minor leaguer and you get a fully editable player.

Dear Jscand,

I did try to create Rocky Colavito and George Dauss starting with "Create a Player" and going through the exact same steps as for others and I did not get a Jeter face but rather a fully editable face. This suggests that the Jeter face only happens when one hits a real player but runs into the Jeter face bug. Try it for a not so famous player and see if you still get a Jeter face. Of course the more famous players like Norm Cash did give me a Jeter face.

Please note I did not use the Player Vault but only saved the player on my PS3 hard drive. This worked for players like Al Kaline who do not suffer from the Derek Jeter face bug.

You actually don't need the corresponding audio (thats what I thought at first too and why my initial list has audio names). You just need to enter a minimum of an audio last name and doesn't even matter what it is. As long as the name is spelled right and the face is available it will work.

So all these players have A potential because they are CAPS, or does the face thing works if you edit and existing SCEA fake player, so you can get his potential, like C or D?

I created Kevin Hart and Tyler Yates for the Pirates, but they have A potential, which obviously they are not.

So all these players have A potential because they are CAPS, or does the face thing works if you edit and existing SCEA fake player, so you can get his potential, like C or D?

I created Kevin Hart and Tyler Yates for the Pirates, but they have A potential, which obviously they are not.

They all have to be created players and you have to export it when you create and import to get the face. editing a minor leaguer will not get you the face.

Sorry I missed your post earlier. Don't forget, a create a player will work fine if:

1. The player is not exported and then imported back in. This is where the Jeter bug first takes place.
2. If they player is exported and imported, but no audio is associated, you will still be able to edit the player just fine. However, once you add audio you get the Jeter bug.

I tested this by creating a player name Joe Jones. I gave him audio, exported him from a roster and into a new one. Got the Jeter face. Then I created Joe Jones with no audio. Exported/Imported. Worked fine. Assigned the audio and Jeter face. Finally, created Joe Jones. Did not export. Added audio, works fine.
