Getting the ball out of your hand quicker

So I've been playing this game for about a little more than month now, and although there were many frustrations to begin with, I got better and was able to move past some rookie mistakes I was making. But one thing I've noticed that I can't seem to get around is how do I get the player to throw the ball quicker. Not throw the ball faster, but have a quicker release. My Problem: After catching the ball and recording the out my player nonschlantly gets the ball in when I'm trying to gun the runner for an out. There have been multiple times where my outfielders (I play with the Padres) catch a mid shallow fly ball. I glance at the icon letting me know if the runner is tagging, and when he does, I try and rifle it in towards home, or hit the cut-off man. There are just too many instances where the player seems to run into a wall (which isn't necesarry in most cases) seems to get his balance and just kind of lob a throw in. This has happened on the infield. The player gets the ball and does that bogus measurment most big leaguers do where they take a couple hop steps, pound the ball in hand into their glove, and leisurly throw it over to first.

I'm not a big fan of editing player's attributes (though I have had to, unfortunately) or using game sliders, but if that's the only way to adjust the problem please let me know.

I hope whoever out there that responds to this can paint the image I'm trying relay to you (or has had this same experience), because it's a little more difficult explaining these BS tendencies than I'd expected. If anyone cares to help, I'll try and elaborate more efficently if you're having difficulty trying to diagnose my problem.
