I have two thoughts on this.......

1) how SDS literally advertises “full minors” out of the box now with incorrect ages and NOT full minors is insane to me. Side note, that is not a knock on ridin and his crew. I know they help. I literally wouldn’t but this game without them making their rosters.

2) it’s incredible how SDS doesn’t even give us the option to edit these prospects ages. That honestly cannot be that hard.

There is a simple reason why this is the case.. if they give us access to edit everything possible. then we wouldn't be able to buy the same game again with just a roster update... that is why. I am still playing 20 I can edit service time but I can't fix ages and I can't make non rookies without stats NOT rookies. even with editing service time the game still thinks they are rookies. it's trying to PUSH me to buy 21.

2nd reason is say if we could edit all the ages.. and we made every single player 40 years old... I am sure that would break franchise mode having almost the entire league retire lol.

All I can say is this year is a complete utter mess.

No import rosters or franchise
No SOS on PS5
Check swings are now up to the Human
the Vault is broken and the games been out 3 weeks.
can't create new stadiums for night games.
Rosters the ages are a mess for minors
Custom Sliders now give you no XP in franchise and RTTS

I have never seen such a mess before on mlb the show.. all those things listed above all work in mlb 20 and are still there.

all those things though DD people won't give a crap about in their $$$ mode so it doesn't matter

lol I f you say they dont care about franchise, I dont believe the conspiracy that purposely took away the ability to edit "prospect ages" to make you have to buy MLB 21 ... especially. when they didn't edit the ages this year either lmao

I don't disagree with your base premise but want to point out a few things.

It's been 2 weeks, not 3. Not an excuse for the vault just stating.

The custom sliders and no xp does affect the DD crowd. As they apparently can't make slider sets to have huge XP gains per game and farm XP in exhibition mode. I didn't know this was even a thing until this year.

I think we can't edit prospects because of something in their contract with MLB that we can't edit a players likeness (even though SDS has it wrong).

I don't think you make bad points as a whole but franchise is not going away. It may change (or not) but not go away.

They didn’t take it away it wasn’t there.. we can’t edit age height ect because if they did we could be playing perfect rosters ok mlb 17! That’s the point of making madden does this too they roll away years ago the ability of creating a non rookie so you only create a 36 year old rookie for example. It’s done purposely so that you have to have a reason to buy the next year.

What? I am using madden rosters with rookies like Trevor Lawrence in the created roster. In Nba 2k you can change players ages. this is so false on so many levels. You realize there is severe majority that would buy the new game because of all the new features (even just new facescans) than to keep playing the previous years version with updated rosters. Its crazy to think they have this ability to let you edit ages but...... in a huge marketing ploy, they won't let you edit them in order to make you buy the new game where the ages are the same as the old game lol Actually lets take a poll... Who bought MLB The Show 21 because you cant edit ages in MLB 20? lol

They took that away on madden 13 the game that killed the franchise forever just like mlb 21 has the potential to do.

And you will find lots of people just blind buy the game for the latest stuff .. seriously what’s new ? Stadium creator and a new depth chart screen? More has been taken out then added unless you only care for DD mode.

Weren't the prospect ages all wrong last year too? That didn't get patched. It seems pretty clear to me that they copied the minors rosters over from last year with zero changes whatsoever. I haven't looked closely enough to prove that's the case though obviously.

What I think may be more surprising to me, and maybe more egregious, is that so many players have incorrect service time, INCLUDING FACE-SCAN PLAYERS! That seems more like something that could be considered a bug (as in: worthy of patching) than the prospect ages. But on the other hand, the service time is editable.

Honestly I’m the complete opposite. If I knew player ages were wrong I probably would of waited to buy the game. I’m not hurrying to buy the show because player ages are incorrect.
