I've hit really well with the Mets, too. Think about moving up in difficulty and then have to remind myself the Mets are doing similar things irl right now. Last several games have been 1-2 run games, so ÇPU still a good challenge at All-Star.

I haven't touched a single slider and don't plan to. I do use Quick Counts for a variety of reasons, one being it helps me issue and draw more walks.

Re: Back to Default All Star... It's fantastic

After the 3-game sweep to start the season, I won my first game 2-1 against Detroit thanks to a two-run HR from Perez.

I need to work much more on my plate discipline as that is causing me a lot of issues and making good players look terrible lol. I'm getting into deep counts, but it starts off being behind.

Having an absolute blast though, in winning (once) and defeat.

I 100% use quick counts for full games. If I just play offense and sim defense I at times play the full at bat out. Rare though. Quick counts get me through games at a pace that’s satisfying.

I wound up dropping the Timing slider to 0. Worked well for the first game, so I’m going to keep it there for a few games.

Switching between Levels for Home and Away games is a great idea! I know its been popular with the FIFA community in the past. I must admit I’m early in my Franchise and snuck back down to All Star to heat up the bats. It worked! Had a 4 hit game with Dustin Pedrioa. I think when you are moving between All Star and All Star + without changing sliders it just adds to the variety of games you will get. I’m going to give it a try!

I’ve been switching levels like that in my Pens NHL Franchise for years. All Star for home and Superstar for away games. Keeps it interesting.

First time I’ve done that with MLB and it seems to be working well. Keeps me from touching any sliders.

If I end up too good for all star, i then can just use all star plus and move up to hall of fame.

It makes a lot of sense for the game to be harder on the road. I gave Quick Counts a go as well and the Logic seems way better than when it first came out and I dismissed it. Think I’m sold! At this rate I’m going to get through all 162 games.

I started down the slider rabbit hole since I've been hitting a bit too well, but decided to just go back to default All-Star. I was worried a bit about going from 0 to 5 on pitch speed, but I hit three homers with Albies in my first game on default.

Overall, default AS felt really good. I think I'm sticking with it.

I’m still chugging along with All Star Default and QC. Love the variety of outcomes! I have got 4 hits with Pedrioa in one game and none the next. Was starting to get worried about JDs power outage and struck back with 3 homers in one game. Chris Sale gave up 3 homers in one inning because I wouldnt take him out in the 7th inning!

You still going with same set up? I forgot to ask. What you have DD at, 0? And do you do auto or assist fielding and base running?

I started up a 1987 Braves chise with All Star default and Matt's adjustments, with quick counts. With new patch that dropped, 1.08.
What a blast, 1987 rosters are awesome as well. Got 2 games in last night, video in my twitch history. 2-0 loss to phillies, and 2-4 loss as well. 87 Braves only won like 69 games, so will be tough test. But with Tom Glavine, Ron Gant, David Justice, and other players in minors, future hopefully bright.

You can use the Dynamic Difficulty slider to lock your progress in at All Star+ by putting it down to zero once you reach there. If you go to Play Now and have a MLB team play a AAA team with the Dynamic Difficulty maxed out should only take a couple of games to get there. Then you can choose between standard All Star and Dynamic which will be locked in at All Star+.

One more question about DD. If I save a game mid-game, the DD progress doesn't seem to save with it. In other words, when I load the saved game to continue, the difficulty reverts back to the level it was when the game started. How do I make a mid-game save AND save the changes to DD?

The way I locked in my DD Difficulty was to only bat or only pitch and fast forward through the other innings. You can also heavily load the load the sliders in favour of the human side. That way you get it locked in half the time. I had great fun throwing a cheesy no hitter with Chris Sale against some AAA scrubs.
