+1 fielder reaction. I use manual fielding and can't get my infielders to move on balls. I like where the speed is for the outfielders.

Haven't done it yet but maybe -1 to baserunner speed. I've seen a couple double plays that should've have been successfully turned on hard hit ground balls.

Let me know what you think. Again, I know everybody's skill level is different and I particularly struggle at hitting. I also pitch to contact so having my fielders realistically be able to get to balls is important.

I was curious if anybody was seeing this in the new set as well. I have noticed it in my games. On some plays my fielders react very slowly and lack urgency (even when preloading the throw). I had a few plays where the guy would normally be out at first, but ended up being out in the game. I know the lower fielding slider allows for more close plays but I might bump reaction time +1 before messing with baserunner speed to see if it seems more realistic to me.

Anybody else noticing slower than usual fielders or defensive plays or does everything seem to be playing as it should in the field for you?

I had a few plays where the guy would normally be out at first, but ended up being out in the game. I know the lower fielding slider allows for more close plays but I might bump reaction time +1 before messing with baserunner speed to see if it seems more realistic to me.

I love the lower reaction. In my most recent game, I saw two hits get past the mound and through CF for a hit (less pitchers making plays), and one of them was just out of reach of a reaching (not diving) Gordon.

Gordon had a diving stop later in the game, and threw the guy out from his butt!

I have seen some OFs be lazy getting to a ball, but I just chalk it up to them keeping the ball in front of them. They were singles, regardless.

I had 2 hits like that too that went past the pitcher and dribbled into center field! I did like seeing that. I'm gonna play a few more games to get a better sample size before changing anything. Was just wondering what others might be noticing in this area. It's a fun but very challenging set for sure!

I had one time a ground ball went to the 2nd basemen and he ran home with the ball.

I've had a few plays where the ball goes into the gap/corner or just get by the outfielder and the outfielder is just slowly jogging to the ball. Gave up an inside the park home run, because Nick Markakis apparently had better things to do than play baseball lol. I don't think that was outfielder speed, maybe just a glitch. I mean he was moving really really slowly, like the game halted his sprint.

Mike ill be posting some data later from my most recent game with the 2.0 sliders i use directional hitting will that make a difference?

Use a larger sample size. Errors do happen in baseball.

I just played an 11 inning game. 1 error combined.

Wow the tweaks I made to 2.0 are beautiful. Just won 7-5 in 11 innings.

Marlins BABIP .314
Rays BABIP .400
60-64% strikes for both teams
16% foul balls for both teams
Marlins 21% misses per total swings
Rays were 32%, but they are like that in real life.

The changes I made to 2.0 for this game were:

+1 human power to 5
+1 human timing to 1
-1 human foul frequency to 4
-1 solid hits to 6
+1 human reliever stamina to 6

I streamed the entire game, and it was probably the most realistic game I've ever played of The Show.

I'm playing a franchise with the Indians and these sliders. I'm in mid August and unfortunately Lindor got injured about 2 weeks ago and is out 2 months. But he has only committed a few errors on the year and is the leader for the Gold Glove (for now).

Don't judge the sliders on just a few games. Play more and see if you see those errors consistently.

Also, are you using auto fielding?

IF you aren't, you MAY want to bring fielding closer to default as you, me, none of us are perfect to the ball on every play...

Real life Cleveland IF has 2 errors tonight.

It's the 7th inning.

Use a larger sample size. Errors do happen in baseball.
