Difficulty vs Half Difficulty vs Sliders?

Obviously, difficulty seems to have some effect on timing, etc for both human and CPU; is there an quantifiable relationship between difficulty level and slider settings (i.e. does the cpu timing at 6 on AS equate to CPU timing on 5 on AS+ or HOF?).

Also, what happens at the Dynamic “+” difficulty settings? Are they a hybrid of the “official levels (i.e. HOF timing window with AS pitch speeds) or a true halfway off all relevant variables between the main levels?
