Hm, had my first ten games, but not feeling it yet. 23 with sliders was almost perfect (only a bit to few HRs), in 24 I see way too many foul balls again (I hate it when it happens and the CPU is just hitting 10+ fb in a row) and due to the randomness of classic pitching also too many HRs. So let´s say I have 1 out, then it starts with 3 balls and where ever I aim then of course it goes to the middle and boom HR. Maybe the reason is that I only play exhibition games? Or I am just bad at pitching this year? I even went down to All Star. Hitting feels nice btw.



You all get good results?

You can raise User Pitch Consistency to 5. That will make less meatballs that you will throw. And lower home runs.

For fouls, you could lower cpu foul frequency to 3 or 4. That will save SOME but that mostly affects balls down the line landing fair or foul. But it might help a little. Try that out and let me know. You could lower CPU Contact to 6.

Game 1 is in the books. JD Martinez hit a 3 run home run for my only runs of the game.

The Brewers got more hits than me. Their pitching really did a good job on me but somehow I won.

I pitched my way out of some jams and gunned out a runner at home plate trying to score.

Very good game play.

Not giving up enough. I'm following the suggested pitch and location from the catcher just as I have with previous versions. But I'm only walking 1 a game. I've had 2 at least once, but no more. This is different from previous versions.

Try user pitching control and consistency at 4/4. That will help a little. I am actually testing user control at 4 and in 11 games I’m walking 2.6 per game.

I have never used your sliders before but today I am going to test them out for the first time for my test franchise. Will give feedback later. Look forward to using them.

Just a quick update to the sliders. I tested the simulated stats. When you sim, have the SP and RP stamina at 5 and hook at 10. I simulated a season with injuries off and there were 30 complete games in the season. In real life, there were 34 in 2023. So that is spot on.

Alcantara lead the NL with 3 but his stamina is 93. Gausman led the AL with 3 as well. Everyone else had 1.

There were 5 pitchers with over 200 IP. In real life, there were 5 pitchers with over 200 IP also.

Game play sliders:
If you want less control pitching, you can lower User Control to 4. That will increase your walks a little.

I’m lowering User SP Stamina to 6.

SP Stamina: 5
RP Stamina: 5
Hook: 10

Game play
User Pitcher Control: 4

Another year of using this slider set for me!



Traditionally have always played MLBTS using Zone hitting and Meter pitching. But when you've played since MLB 06, those can become easier than they should. Even on Legend/Legend with sliders nerfed I'd find myself hitting 70 homers a year with Ozzie Albies.



Thank goodness for this slider set and change of pace!



I think I may need to make the jump to Legend this year for hitting. I play with pitch speeds on 7 to match Legend but personally think they should be a tad quicker. I've played 7 games so far (all using ATL) and I'm having a ton of success.



Timing seems like it got a buff this year. I'm finding myself crushing anythng in the zone. In those 7 games mentioned earlier, I'm 7-0, averaging 6 HR's a game. I've faced Aces only (Cole, Webb, Castillo, Senga, Gallen, etc.) and almost all of them are knocked out by the 4th inning.



Anyone else seeing this? I may lean toward bumping power and solid hits down.

Try lowering human timing down a significant amount. Maybe even at zero. This will make it harder to get perfect timing and crush baseballs.

Also just wanted to throw in, I absolutely canNOT stand the menu colors, they seriously needed to add some sort of dark mode....lol

The menu colors are horrific, I'm so glad I'm not alone in hating them this year.
