Well, ASB 2003 has a game-killer in the hitting thing... if you're hitting power, no matter where the cursor is, no matter how early/late you swing, 98% of your hits will go in the left field area. Right field just disappears on that game when hitting for power.
Thankfully ASB 2004 fixed this, and if you don't like that problem also, this should be a good reason to buy a new one.
