It doesn't bother me but there are times like if there is an infield flyball i'd see the pitcher in the crouch position but that's about it.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: on a scale of 1 to 10....
I've complained about the crouch for the past 3 years, so that must make it a 1 for me. Still love the game, but it's just one of those things that gets on my nerves. Guess I'll have to wait for next generation ASB for it to finally be removed, for once and for all. Still very much looking forward to this year's game though.
Crazy enough, I'm actually most interested in getting my hands on MLB 2005 at this point. (Never thought I'd say that in a million years). And I don't even have a PS2, only an XBox. (D'oh!).Comment

Re: on a scale of 1 to 10....
I'd say a 4. While it doesn't affect gameplay too bad, it can take a couple seconds off of the running time with the animation times it takes to go from crouch to run, and that can keep you from catching evene the longest fly balls. The speed itself last year was just crummy. Either slow the ball down after it leaves the bat or speed the players up, because unless you have a C+ runner out there you aren't catching ANYTHING hit ANYWHERE in the outfield on '04.
Besides which, I don't know where people are getting it that it's in this years game, I can't remember one screenshot or movie that has shown it for more than a second or in more than one real frame of the game. Also, ASB_man said it was taken out this year. Can someone point me to the video where the Crouch is seen in '05?Comment
