    guys,

thx for responding ! why is it that some posts say it's bad - I've seen it said that the man on third did'nt tag-up on a deep fly or does'nt go to second on a hit that rolls to the wall !

some people say it's bad and some say it the best of the three- why such a drastic difference ?

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Well actually. Nobody should be right. Its only been out a couple of days and I'm sure no one can say that they've seen plenty of baserunning AI scenarios. Enough to pass judgment anyway.

I haven't noticed any gaping flaws. The CPU will take the extra bags with the better runners (i.e. Juan Pierre once tried to take an extra bag on a hit to left center and was thrown out. )
It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic.

The only baserunning issues I have seen with guys not taking a base comes when your baserunners are REALLY slow - if you have guys with even average speed they will be fairly aggressive. I have seen a few times where guys with speed ratings in the D+ and below range stop at first on balls hit to the wall, not take an extra base when it is there, etc....

Overall its good and much improved from last year.

Exactly. Pretty much anyone who can give a definitive answer to this question doesn't know what they are talking about. The games only been out a few days and NO ONE has had enough time to evaluate the AI in depth.

my early impressions are based on quite a few games played. in every baseball game there are AI issues... some you notice right away and usually troubling, some are more subtle.

i can tell you early impressions of MVP were not this good. then again, MVP has real roster management to... lol
