    Re: Rosters

    Re: Rosters

I am not sure abou the Exhibhition thing, I will be more than happy to check it out after the first update for ya.

As for other stuff you might need it depends on how you are setup now or how you want to setup your xbox. You have a few options.

    1. Just unplug your cable modem and plug it into your xbox when you want to use Live. No extra cables needed unless you need a long cable to from the cable modem to the xbox.

    2. Get a router and use your cable connection on your xbox and pc at the same time. You will need to purchase a router and two network cables. Cable modem goes to the router, two wires to go from the router to PC and xbox.

    3. If you are running windows 2000 or xp and your PC is near your xbox, buy and install a second network card into your PC, get a crossover cable to connect second network card to the xbox. Enable Internet Connection Sharing in windows. With this option you may need to manual configure your xbox, easy enough to do. Your PC will also always need to be on to play on live, your PC acts as a router.

Thanks, Cards, anyone else know for sure because this will determine if I purchase Live or not. Also, how much does it cost to purchase it?

I've got some free 2 month Xbox Live trials sitting around. If you're interested I could give you a code for 2 free months. You would'nt have the Headset for Live chat, but you could try out live. PM me if you want the code...or anyone else that's interested. They're doing me no good since I'm signed up through next year.

Thanks, Ed. So is it a sure thing that we can play downloaded rosters in Exhibhition mode? Also, any accessories I need to run Live on an XBOX? (cables, connectors, etc.?)

If you buy a router, I recommend buying a Microsoft router. At first I had a Linksys, and it was a piece of garbage...constantly had to reset it, and I would get dropped from games all the time. Since buying the Microsoft router about a year ago, have'nt had one single problem...have'nt even had to reset the router or anything. I think it just works ALOT better if you are running Windows. Just my personal experience though, others may not have had the same problems.

I have a DLink. They are certified for Xbox and cheaper than the MS stuff.
