    Re: Anyone Still Using Zone?

I used zone for probably 20-30 games and never, and I mean NEVER hit a foul ball.

I switched to 2d cursor, and hit tons.... of course, they are all to the back stop, but at least it's an improvement.

I want to use zone but can't remember even 1 foul ball when I did use it. I must have used it for 20 or 30 games. If other people are seeing foul balls and hits down the 1st and 3rd base line, please post about it. That would be great news.

I remember hitting a few shots close to the lines, but that was only by swinging VERRRYYYY early. In fact, when I watched the replay, it looked like i would have missed the ball, but it "sped up" into the bat and then was hit! I could have been drunk tho...... ;a)

Now i'm struggling trying to get better at the 2D cursor, but I find it hard to score runs!

Yeah, the grounder to fly ball ratio seems to be much better this year but they still need to do some work on balls down the lines either fair or foul. It is odd the CPU has no issue hitting all over the field / foul balls but players don't get that same variety.

I would like to see collision detection with the bat and ball improved. Early and late swings should have a better chance of fouling, pulling or going to the opposite field than they do. Although, I wouldn't want to see everything reduced to simple hand eye coordination because then stats mean nothing and a good gamer can unnaturally dominate with any player (similar to the problem with MVPs pitching meter).
