First off I'm using a drafted team, my power guys are Jermaine Dye (60-day DL), Matsui (out for 3 days) and Travis Hafner (just given a day off).
It started out being a pitchers duel, being 0-0 after 4 innings or so, then I give up a couple of small-ball runs.. I'm down 2-0... then I go to bat top of the 6th inning, Jason Kendall leading off, he rips one down the first base line (Arizona's stadium) it rolls all the way to the corner and rattles around in that cove back there... My first INSIDE the park homer.. I leave the inning down 2-1... 7th inning, I lead off the inning with back-to-back singles, and bunt my pitcher to put runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out, next guy pops out, next guys ropes a single, tying the game up at 2... bottom of that inning, I give up a solo shot to go down 3-2... next inning, I manage to play some small-ball back and tie it up...now we enter the top of the 9th, runner on 2nd, 1 out, I see my pitcher (Fogg) is coming up after Izturis, so I start my bullpen, I got my long reliever going and my closer, depending on if I score or not.. Izturis ropes a bloop hit right in between the right-fielder and center-fielder, it rolls to the wall and kicks off it toward rightfield... Izturis, ALSO, hits an inside the park homer, a 2-run job... I bring in my closer (Baez) for his 10th save of the season on his 14th opportunity. (About 40 games into the season)
