Are you coming in the game with a lead already? Is your team down, then comes back to take the lead? I've gotten points for a Win before as a RP who comes in the game in the 7th, so you'll have to elaborate on the circumstances surrounding when you get in the game, etc.

Coming into a tie game, not getting any points when they take the lead and I get the win. I get 50 when I get the save, but not anything for the W. It's happened multiple times this way. I'm not sure if there were any come from behind victories so I don't know if it's happened like that, but definitely have not gotten any bonus in games I've been credited with the win.Comment

This is exactly what I hate about being a RP in this game. I'm going to start a MP as a fielder and give that a shot (limited play time so far). The way the CPU uses the pitching staff just makes me mad. I actually yelled at my manager Trey Hillman (RP for the Royals) to take me out of the game when my crappy RP was blowing it, but they left me in instead of bringing in Soria to close it out. They didn't take me out, but luckily I got some outs and finished the game off."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
That's odd. I'm almost positive I've gotten a +100 or +50 or something when I've gotten a win. I don't think I've gotten many, so I may have just gotten "first professional win" points and never gotten anything the other times.Coming into a tie game, not getting any points when they take the lead and I get the win. Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
I have mixed feelings over the My Player mode.
I got off to a rough start with my SS for San Fran, have fielding ratings in the 70's and my batting ratings are as high as 75, yet I still cannot hit for a high average. Through my first season in AA managed .257 (playing every game), didn't fair too well against the Pros in Spring Training; have a player that is rated 72 overall and yet I'm still buried in AA since I haven't met my stats goals. Why not a call up to AAA based on my overall rating? Kinda frustrated that 75 contact doesn't yield many base hits and that I have to rot away in AA another season.
Any suggestions for hitting? I've tired both hit influence and not; both produce weak hits that the infielders gobble up. Don't really want to switch to classic hitting, 'cuz I like the ability to foul off pitches with the defensive swing. Any help is appreciated.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
Wow, most of the starters I've faced in early AA ball in this mode have rubber arms. One guy threw a 170 pitch complete game. Another guy is up to 122 in the 7th with no sign of slowing down. In fact, he's in the GREEN on the meter for pitch count... I'm assuming that's "good". This is something that needs to be fixed. The CPU has no idea when to take out a pitcher. 170 pitch CG? Give me a break."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

This mode is so addicting. I've played one actual game of baseball offline, the rest of my time has been spent on this. I get mad as hell that I can't hit consistently, but I can't stop playing it. Hopefully things start looking up for my boy soon.Comment

I don't really follow baseball, is Dontrelle Willis not good now? I just faced him in a My Player game against the Erie Seawolves.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
I'm about 30 games into my AA career as a RF for the Fisher Cats. it took a half dozen games before I could get any hits but I've got a 13 game hitting streak going right now so the average is creeping towards .275 right now. Very few RBIs and not a home run to be seen despite contact ratings around 65 and power ratings closing in on 60. I've just been doing contact swings though, so that's probably the issue; or that I'm using the default sliders. I plan on fiddling around with power swings today.Comment

Nice to see I'm not the only one who hasn't gone yard yet. I had a couple of close ones, but we just can't seem to get that perfect hit.Comment

He has had some really tough location issues.
I agree that the game is addicting. It's nicely done for their first shot at baseball too. Not many load times, pretty plain and simple. It's a great addition to the game.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
I've had one that hit the warning track, but that's it. Then again I went fishing for a pitch down in the zone, was holding up on the left stick for a pop-fly and used a contact swing...what else was I expecting would happen?Comment
