Try the camera settings I posted earlier in the thread. You should be working the count in your favor. Also, the quality of AA pitching should allow you to recognize pitches easily. So, since you're having trouble initially, this is good. Do not think the extra time you're spending in AA is not valuable. Embrace it. I realize it's cliche, but pitch selection and count does matter. I do not use hit influence or power after it dropped my batting average a bit. However, it's due to the way I created my player. If you're having trouble with pitch selection, put points into eye. Turn on the strike zone (not sure if you turned it off if you thought it was cheap) until you are comfortable. It'll tell you what is coming (not entirely true, since this is based on your rating - which I love). Good luck!

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
One thing I noticed while playing "My Player" is that the pitcher's stamina doesn't really move when in the simulation part of the game. It does when you are batting or when you are taking part in a play in the field, but not when the game is simming. I upped the pitcher fatigue to 95 and that at least dropped the pitcher's stamina more during the non-sim moments, but this is ultimately going to have to be taken care of with a patch.Wow, most of the starters I've faced in early AA ball in this mode have rubber arms. One guy threw a 170 pitch complete game. Another guy is up to 122 in the 7th with no sign of slowing down. In fact, he's in the GREEN on the meter for pitch count... I'm assuming that's "good". This is something that needs to be fixed. The CPU has no idea when to take out a pitcher. 170 pitch CG? Give me a break.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
Still batting fourth for San Fran. I'm only hitting .305 now, but it's still pretty good. We got a couple games lead on the Dodgers. I only have 2 homers, but I have 32 RBI's in 62 games. I actually just crushed run up to the hill at Minute Maid Park (Houston), about 420 feet but I only got a double because the Bourn was playing deep. And Houston's lineup was this:
1. Carl Crawford
2. Michael Bourn
3. Ben Zobrist
SCARY!
My ratings are getting better too. I'm rated 74 overall. 74 contact L and R. 77 Power L and R. 80 catching, 80 throwing accuracy, 80 throwing power. 75 speed.
THIS MODE IS TERRIFIC.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
I'm playing 1B for the Royals organization, and I'm in my second second season. I'm rated about 65, and I'm starting for the AAA Omaha Royals. I hit my first HR of the season about 3 weeks into it, and wow...it was satisfying. It was a 407 ft blast that was over the left field fence (the one with the line about halfway up then ads on the top part) and was long gone. I would post a video but 2K, for whatever reason, doesn't show any videos I upload. Then I simmed a game and my second one came, about a week later of me playing I hit number 3 and 4 in consecutive at-bats, with 5 RBI's at the end of the game. I love this mode, despite the stamina glitches and whatever else is there.

My one flaw I've noticed is that I'm playing SS, there was a runner on 3rd with one out and I got a ground ball but with the camera angle, it was impossible to check to see if the runner was advancing until it was too late so I had to let him score and get the for sure out at 1st.Follow me for live wrestling tweets @molarmiteComment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
So I just finished my first year. Got called up to the Bigs after only 30 or so games. First two weeks at the Show I had only one home-run. Then I changed my batting stance to Ryan Howard and hive been hitting them left and right. Well mostly left. ALL of my home-runs have been to the opposite field. I just wait for the high outside fastball and swing a little late and crush it. Then again I'm playing on PRO. But I'm really not that good at this game. I finished the first year batting .302 with 22 HR and 64 RBI. Alcides Escobar won the ROY over me while hitting .243 with 20 HR and 58 RBI. I'm guessing the reason he won over me was becasue he played 140 games while I only played 85 or so.MLB: St. Louis Cardinals

Alcides Escobar is 1st in the ROY award followed by Tyler Greene and then me. i dont under stand though my batting avg is .445 39 RBI 11 HR 0 SB i own a 25 game hitting streak but it has to be cuz they played more games. yeah i just looked Alcides Escobar played in 111 games.. Tyler Greene 109.. and I only played 39.. it seems really dumb they base it on the number of games ya play.. but Im only at August 20th and i just hit my 12th homer! So I just finished my first year. Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
My Pitcher is a beast.
That's all that can be said right now. Yeah the computer does seem to let your pitcher play entire games, but only if you are doing well. Which makes sense, if you've only given up a few hits and are pitching a shut-out. I think Most managers will try and let the pitcher complete the game.
One thing i've seen is doing really well...then given up a run late and immediately being taken out.
I've also been taken out early given up 6 runs (2 homers...Cardinals...)
But as of now, I am dominating. 2nd year in the pros, RHP for the Brewers. This mode is addictive as hell. Too bad it's not this fun in NBA2k.
As of right now, MP has about a 1.70 ERA, WHIP is below 1.00 and I am 7-2 (Goal set to win 15 games, well on pace for that) and the 2nd game I loss was a game I gave up a run. I also forgot to mention I am 1st in voting for the All-star game.
The first year in the Pro's did not go that well, but the 2nd year has just been tons of fun. I also created a CF for the Marlins organization who is still in AA because I always play my pitcher.
Has anyone reached FA yet? What happens when you do? I hope you get realistic offers from teams. I hope it's not some "Choose where you want to go..." thing. It would be fun if your team didn't want to resign you and you go sign for another team in the division heh.Last edited by Fiasco West; 03-07-2010, 04:23 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
Well, just finished my first year, I got called up to the Bigs about 60 games into the season, I think I had a pretty solid year. I'm a 1B, currently playing at 2B because the Royals have a better 1B than me.
I batted, .340 hit 15 dingers, 62 RBIs, 10 doubles, struck out 30 times.
My ratings aren't that bad, I'm a 73 overall.
CvL 73
CvR 74
PvL 62
PvR 80
EvL 60
EvR 70
I got my speed up to 72, now I am working on my acceleration which is down at 55.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
53 games in and after screwing around with the power swing my K's are up to 48 and my average has dropped 40 points to around .230 haha. And I STILL haven't hit a homer. CvR at 70, PvR at 66. This is killing me.Comment
