Re: MLB 2K11 Official "My Player" Thread
It has to be the stamina bug. I'd go all the way down to 4 stamina in one start, then 2 days later they'd start me again and I'd be back up to 99. Usually I'd get lit up in the game on 2 days rest, but that's probably just because of my pitcher being horrible. Also, the pitch count meter doesn't really seem to mean much in My Player mode. For example: My SP has a pitch count of probably 58-70 due to crappy stamina. I'd be throwing great through 6 innings but after the 6th inning I'd be at a 75 pitch count. Start of the 7th inning I'm supposed to lead off hitting (my contact is a 25). However, they decide to let me hit. That's fine with me so I can at least get some XP Points. However, and this is really what made me quit, they then trot me back out there in the bottom of the 7th when I'm already over my pitch limit and have about 10 stamina left. I proceed to give up 3-4 hits, ruining my shutout and ERA and WHIP (which you need to have at a reasonable level to get called up) and cutting a 4 run lead to 1. THEN they take me out. I shouldn't have to be giving up runs and hits all over the place like Jose Lima for the AI Manager to realize it's time for me to come out. Especially in AA. In AA it should be stamina based, not production based.... unless it's the 9th inning and I'm going for a no-hitter or whatever. Then they can leave me in until I give up that one hit.

Re: MLB 2K11 Official "My Player" Thread
This is my first baseball game, and while I do watch it, I'm no expert on rules. Can someone clarify why I wasn't given a win here?
I went 8.0 allowing 4 hits, 0 ER, 2 BB and 6 Ks. Bottom of the 9th a player on my team hit a walk off. Am I wrong to think I deserve a win for that game?Comment

Re: MLB 2K11 Official "My Player" Thread
In the top of the ninth inning, your pitcher must have been replaced with a reliever. Thus, in the bottom of the inning when your team won, the pitcher who last appeared for your team would get it, which would be the reliever. Sucks, but at least you don't get a loss and ya pitched well. This is my first baseball game, and while I do watch it, I'm no expert on rules. Can someone clarify why I wasn't given a win here?

Re: MLB 2K11 Official "My Player" Thread
So I am new to this product line and jumped right in to My Player mode as a SP.. I am really enjoying it, however one thing is really bugging me and I feel like it is something obvious because I cannot find anyone else complaining about this..
I cannot cover 1st base as a pitcher... any time the ball is hit to the 1st baseman and I try to use the stick to run to 1st my pitcher just stands on the mound enjoying the view as the 1st baseman dives to stop and ball and futilely tries to beat the base runner to first...Comment

Re: MLB 2K11 Official "My Player" Thread
This is my first baseball game since MVP about 8-9 years ago. And I have to say I am loving it so far. I am a huge franchise player and the good thing I forgot about baseball games is that they are built for franchises! more so than madden or NBA 2k. I am currently holding off on starting the mode until the bugs get fixed.
I jumped into my player mode and begun to make a power hitting first basemen. I love how you have plenty of time in the minors to develop your unique playstyle. I think I might make another player that is a Starting Pitcher, and I might even make a center fielder or a shortstop (quick and speedy) to contrast my big power hitting first basemen. I made the first basemen play just how like I played back in the day
This is a fun game, but i am a little sad with all the bugs that are scaring me away from the other modes. I hope they get them fixed soon.http://www.youtube.com/user/Lumberjack33x

Re: MLB 2K11 Official "My Player" Thread
Has anyone had any clutch moments after the first one that starts the mode? I've been in situations where I'd definitely expect one, bottom of the ninth, 2 outs, man on third, or second and third, down by one run, but no clutch moment/situation. Does it not happen until you're in the majors or something?Comment

Re: MLB 2K11 Official "My Player" Thread
I'm guessing you have probably simmed alot to be in your 4th season as a hitter already, and to be stuck in AA your file must be glitched, or you havn't completed any of your rating goals and or stat goals, because you should go up to AAA after the first season if you aren't ready for the majors yet. If you could give me a little more information, I'd love to help you with some more information to get this resolved.Comment

I noticed the same thing! I figured only in majors, I made it, so i'll see if I ever get another clutch moment...Has anyone had any clutch moments after the first one that starts the mode? Re: MLB 2K11 Official "My Player" Thread
So I started a closer two or three days ago. Got randomly picked by the Pirates. Spent 1 and a half years in AA/AAA then got a semptember call up for a middle relief setup role. I just passed august in my rookie year and I'm having a blast setting up Evan Meek. I finish games in 2-3 min, and get quick skill points. But there is one thing I noticed that I LOVE. So I was wondering when/if I would ever take over the closer role so I peered into the statistics section. I found that I had a sparkling 0.00 ERA with 30 IP and 35 K's with a sub .5 whip. I was thinking "Why the Hell am I not Closing for this crappy sup .400 team!" But then I looked into the statistics of all other relievers. It seems that Evan Meek was struggling with a 0-2 record and a ERA north of 5.30, and the AI has tried every possible option in the closer role like Sean Gallagher and Joel Hanrahan EXCEPT me because I was a rookie. I don't know but that seemed pretty friggin cool.
Update: I just finished my rookie season and in the offseason Pitt traded Evan Meek and didn't resign Joel Hanrahan...Looks like I impressed the coaches =)Last edited by SwinginAs12; 03-14-2011, 08:43 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 2K11 Official "My Player" Thread
So i started my player made a SP for the Baltimore Orioles I figured they can use all starting piyching they can get. So far i've gotten done three games. My first start wasn't great i went 6 innnigs allowed 3 runs and struck out 3. Wasn't a bad start but still ended up taking the loss. But then i rebounded going 7 1/3 giving 0 earned runs 6 K's and allowing 5 hits while getting the win. On the my third start went 7 innings 0 ER 7 K's and 6 hits. So far my stats 20 innings pitched 16 K's 11 hits and a ERA under 1.98. the hardest thing i found is trying figure out where my pitches will travel with my minor leaguer not having the best control. Having fun so for but i think i'll take my time getting my pitcher to the bigs just until i have my control issues under control.Comment
