I'm assuming that you have the PlayStation 2 version, because from what I hear, the Xbox version has his stance, but then the PS2 one has it set to High... for some reason it's Griffey though the first time that you play with him (at least until you go to editor).
If you do go to editor, then I suggest that the next best stance would be Brady Anderson.Comment

The stance changing bug in the player editor is fixed. Basically, there were stances that were in the game but not in the player editor/create-a-player, and since the editor/create-a-player didn't recognize those stances, it would change it to something it did recognize.
This year, you'll be able to change the stance to any that is in the game as well as to a few stances that are not in the normal game.Comment
