Re: New screens and movie at ESPNvideogames.com!

Just found out something else quite ODD about the clip.

When the Cubs center fielder goes up to try to rob the homerun, I notice that the numbers on the back of the jersey are red. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the only red in the back of the jersey the outlining? May this be a mistake? A new jersey? because in a sense it reminded me of Minnesota's jersey in last year's game, but then I'm like, "That's not Torii Hunter."

    Weird, eh?

I just looked at the video. Hopefully it's the same one you all were looking at. Silly Mozilla Firebird, tricks are for kids! Had to use IE for that, but it's all gooooooooodd when it comes to looking at baseball stuff, right? Since I couldn't figure out how to rewind the video everything went by so fast. The gist of it, from what I noticed, is that sliders are really implemented well this year, from the charisma slider to the team rating sliders, to the pitching meter. Actually, the pitching meter looks better than MVP's meter from last year, IMO. One thing that I didn't like is that the gameplay (from pitching to fielding) is eerily similar to last year's. While the AI seriously needs an upgrade from last year, I feel the gameplay itself was part of the reason that the game was so easy, and subsequently boring unless you took a terrible team or compromised gameplay in order to make the competition tougher. The fielders still seem to be lacking frames in animation, and this needs to be fixed. The only way I can think of, ATM, to describe this is to compare it to ASB 2003's "crouch" stance the players were in last year. It seems that every ball fielded in WSB2K3 was from the crouch stance. And, it seems to be the same case this year. Still, the game really brings me innovation, from the looks of it, and I have an inkling this is going to be a GREAT year for video baseball gaming

From what I saw the game looks pretty good. I like the pitching meter. Anyone know if they have full replays this year? I have read alot about this years game but havent seen any info about replays.

Game looks to be the same as last year. I dunno if this is good or bad. Last year's game was a love and hate relationship with me.

This one is a "wait and see" game for me.

The main Q I want to know is and Im sure there alot of people will agree with is (PLAYER SCALING) is it in this years game. I did not see the video yet, but if they did not add this I will hold me back from getting it this year, that feature means alot to me. Anyway I was leaning tworads MVP this for the PC just loks like it will be the game this year.
