    Phillies to move fences back?

Within the next two weeks, the Phillies are going to decide whether, and by how much, to move the fences back at Citizens Bank Park next year. The word is that they wouldn't move them back any more than three rows and that the decision would be almost totally motivated by the fact that no free agent pitchers are going to want to sign there given the way the park plays now.

IMO, they need to do this. The full three rows, at the very least. They'll take a short-term loss on ticket sales since they'll have fewer tickets to tell, but an inability to sign good pitchers will result in poor teams and poor attendence. And after watching what the park did to guys like Eric Milton and Jon Lieber, nobody is going to want to sign there now.
