I fired up the franchise mode w/ the Royals. I am in the series right now w/ the Chi Sox. Below are some things that I like and dislike about the game.
Likes:
*Pitcher / Batter Interface - It's just plain fun!
*Camera Angles - EA really hit this on the head. I feel like I am on the field most of the time.
*Sound - I love how the crowd gets up for the home team.
*Pitching Sequences - I have had some great battles while pitching.
Dislikes:
*Quick Pitching - the computer is throwing the ball before I am really ready.
*No pitcher / batter names during hitting view - the only time you see the name is when the batter walks up to the plate. It's like EA forgot this part.
*No Dive / Jump - This is nuts in my book.
*No User Stats - didn't EA make this famous?
So far, the game isn't bad. I just don't know if it has what it takes to keep my attention. Some things are really fresh like the goals for doing things in the franchise. But then some things feel left out. Can anyone find where to see how many pitches I have thrown in a game? What about batting practice?
