You sure would be mad if it was buggy. I can tell you that no matter what you do, it would cost more for the conversion itself than they would get back in sales. And if they put out an inferior product, that would just make it worse for them. If they put it out after the World Series, you would probably be the only one to buy it.
I'm know that Sega doesn't WANT to leave GC owners out in the cold, but I'm also sure that they've done the research and concluded that it couldn't be profitable at all for them. It sucks, but it's the nature of the business.
