I haven't played HH so I couldn't comment on the batting interface, but I would have to say that I am 90% sure the analog stick does play a role. Unless someone beats me to it, I will play tonight and confirm right or wrong.

Cool. Post what you find. I didn't have time to do a whole lot of experimenting so I just went back to cursor batting when it didn't seem like the analog stick was doing anything.

im pretty sure the analog has nothing to do with it,yesterday i was using timed hitting and decided to swing at a low and away pitch,so i moved the analog toward the ball and the guy swung as high as he possibly could lol

              You're missing what they're saying...

The animation will show that you're swinging high...there's no question that the animation is off for time hitting. But you may actually have to press low to hit a low pitch and high to hit a high one.

Personally I like the cursor but if the hitting is like HH I'll give it a try.

I use times hitting and if i swing at a low pitch for example in The strike zone i will swing over it and miss but if i swing at the right time plus press down on the analog stick i will hit it and make contact so even though it always shows you swinging high it you do still have to press the analog stick towards the direction of the ball plus be timed perfectly.

either way i always made contact no matter where the ball was by just swinging.......i went back to the cursor for now because of too many HR's

That was exactly the result of me playing last night. Also, you can direct the ball. The most important thing is timing the swing, hence the name. Most of the time when I pulled up on the analog stick, I hit grounders, down I hit popups or homeruns, away from the batter opposite field and in toward the batter I pulled it. Once again I'll say I never played HH so I don't know for HH players if this is a good thing or bad thing.
Hope this helps. Give it a try, this game is still the bomb.
