In the first game I could not hit for my life, i was missing everything and I gave up two, two run homeruns to Brian Giles and eventually lost 4-0 only getting two hits.
The second game was looking a lot like the first one, I was down 4-0 in the bottom of the 7th. Griffey led off the inning so i said what the hell, i'll just use power and try to jack one knowing i'd only pop it up. Well I get ahold of one and drive it deep, he center fielder jumps but he couldnt get to it. 4-1 Sean Casey comes up and singles to right. Adam Dunn draws a walk on a bad call by the ump (3-2 pitch was a strike). After a fly ball out, Larson (i think) comes up and I am just trying to use contact to knock it out of the park to tie the game at 4. Both teams never get anything going until i step up in the bottom of the 9th and hit a double with larkin. I try to sacrifice him to third but casey misses the bunt and larkin is thrown out. The inning ends shortly after with nothin happening. In the top of the 11th I start to warm up my closer but it was too late, my reliever gave up 2 run shot to Matt Stairs. I get up in the bottom of the 11th, get 2 on and i pinch hit for the pitcher and fly out deep. game over 6-4 pirates win
In the 3rd and final game of the series it was a pitcher's duel. Both teams got a run in the 7th but in the end, I left my pitcher in for one pitch to long and they got a run in the top of the 9th to take the lead and eventually win 2-1.
Great game, but man it feels like my baserunners are slow out of the box, is this because they trot on routine ground balls? Would be realistic.
