i wasn't going to post this because i don't think there is anyone left that cares about this anymore, but just in case, here goes:
high heat 2004 for the gamecube has been delayed... again... maybe forever. it has disappeared from ebgames. an email reported to be from the ceo of 3do as found on gamefaqs boards reveals the reason behind it:

I'll admit I envy Xbox and Playstation2 owners of High Heat more than I envy chocolate cake. ( Cake is awesome too)
So out of frusteration, I went to Yahoo to search for Trip Hawkin's ( Ceo of 3do)email. I did this since nearly all of 3do customer support has vanished. I found his email from 8 years ago and tried it out. Amazingly, the man emailed back 8 minutes after I sent my email!( I didn't expect the email to work first of all, and secondly I didn't expect him to respond)
Heres what I wrote:
Dear Mr. Hawkins,
As a proud Nintendo Gamecube owner I have an important question. Your awesome baseball series High Heat Baseball 2004 has already released for the Xbox and Playstation 2 systems months ago. I have heard reports High Heat 2004 may be delayed past even June. I appreciate the gravity of 3do's situation, but I do not believe High Heat 2004 should be delayed any longer. I have accurate reports that the Game was done late May, and waiting to be printed on to discs. Please sir; can you please release High Heat 2004 for Nintendo Gamecube in June??
I love baseball just as much of you do, so please don't delay this game any further.
I'd appreciate a reply as soon as possibly.
Heres what Mr. Hawkins replied with:
I wish we could but for legal and financial reasons it is in suspended
animation. Hopefully not forever.
Every GC baseball fan needs to voice his opinion to Trip, to get this game released. What do you think suspended animation means? Game gets delayed to mid July or August?
At any rate, I appreciate Mr. Hawkins responding to my email, and I hope it gets released soon

with this development and acclaim abandoning the gamecube, the most realistic game next year on the gamecube will be... mlb slugfest. how sad..
