Hyzdu would be a waste of a spot on the roster. The Pirates didn't go through the whole "Designated for Assignment" routine if they were going to call him back up this year. I'd almost rather see Mackowiak back up -- maybe he discovered the strike zone in Nashville?

I think JJ Davis and Mackowiak did get called up. Mackowiak was hitting .220 in Nashiville. He still hasn't learned the strike zone yet the Buc's keep calling him up. I'd rather see a younger guy who might actually have a future...Comment

I doubt Mackowiak is with the organization next year. Same with Hyzdu. Both are dead fastball hitters that can't handle breaking pitches. Mack is 27, I think and Hyzdu is 32. No future with these guys.Comment

JJ Davis interests me, but it's going to be hard finding playing time the way Reggie has been swinging the bat lately.“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis BlackComment

That really makes no sense to me at all. Unless they plan on moving Drew, they really don't have much of a spot for him. Of course, Drew is hurt again...
I was really expecting Suppan to end up there and not Boston, especially after Suppan shut them down completely his last start with the Bucs.“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis BlackComment
