Yeah, I think Maddux is gone after this season. I REALLY want him to stay, however, because he is such a good influence and mentor to our young pitchers. He is simply the best at what he does (IMO, at least.)

I think Atlanta will re-sign both Sheffield and Lopez. Estrada will be brought up and Blanco will be gone.

I really hope Atlanta goes and gets another quality starter though. With Maddux likely leaving, that leaves a HUGE hole in the rotation. JS should find us a decent starter...he landed us Russ

when maddux retires he should be the assistant pitching coach...he was easily one of the smartest pitchers ever..He'll teach guys like Ramirez and wainright how to change speeds and locate.

dont count on it...i see maddux in san diego (or some where near his home in vegas) next year. hopefully we'll be able to keep sheff....from the yankees.
