      he's a nice player. a very good hitter. but his defense cancels out him being a very good or great player. he's one of the worst fielders i have seen.

            If you think Abreu is a bad fielder, then you obviously haven't seen Jeremy Burnitz patrolling Center / Left.

            He makes Abreu look like Willie Mays.

                  Yeah, at least Abreu can throw. The Cubs have two of the worst fieling corner outfielders in the game. Alou and Sosa are very slow have bad arms. Alou always misplays karams (sp?) and Sosa always thinks the fence is closer than it is, and he takes his time to jump and miss balls that land at the base of the wall.

                    Yeah, at least Abreu can throw. The Cubs have two of the worst fieling corner outfielders in the game. Alou and Sosa are very slow have bad arms. Alou always misplays karams (sp?) and Sosa always thinks the fence is closer than it is, and he takes his time to jump and miss balls that land at the base of the wall.

                        Man, Abreu has been batting like .330 for three months now. I wouldn't care if he mis-judged a fly ball now and then, I'd take him in a heart-beat. The dude is money.
